My most recent visit to Surfcoast Medical Center could not have gone any better. Polite staff, doctor was on time (I didn't have to wait at all) and I received excellent treatment. Overall a very satisfying visit.

DO NOT ATTEND THIS PRACTICE
Bridgette the receptionist is the rudest most unhelpful person. She's more than happy to abuse a patient for asking questions. 
Dr Hugo should have licence taken away. Your best bet is googling your symptoms and treating yourself.
When I saw Dr Hugo, his exact words were " What's even wrong with you? Are you even sick?" He doesn't fill out paperwork, he doesn't send off referrals, he doesn't return phone calls. He is a pathetic excuse for a doctor. If you're sick or need help, DO NOT GO TO THIS PRACTICE. 
The only good thing about surfcoast medical is Linda one of the office ladies, if only she was a doctor. 
STAY AWAY FROM SURFCOAST MEDICAL CENTRE AT ALL COSTS.

This medical clinic has cared for my parents for decades and I couldn't speak too highly of the doctors, nurses and reception staff.

I went in to with the need to discuss mental health issues. Although I felt like Doctor S. had empathy with my situation, I am of the opinion that the GP was out of his depth when it came to meaningful advice in this area. 
I explained to the GP that I am looking for a referral to a practitioner who could provide professional advice for my problem. Thereafter I was let down when he advised me to  do my own research to find a Psychologist. It was put to me as a kind of 'This is what I want you to do' type of way. 
Further, I was given a couple of pamphlets and then charged for the 'advice'. Furthermore, I was told that when I found the mental health practitioner to get them to phone him and he would then provide the referral
My opinion is that the Doctor was not well networked with any mental health Practitioners in the Surfcoast area and his not really in a position to provide advice in this area and should have advised me that this is outside his scope.
It is now 2 weeks since that appointment and I am I am back at square 1.
