If I could give 0 star I would reduce it to minus. I have never had the disgusting privilege of an appalling and money pinching scheme that exploits the nursing career. Cheap and cheerful then go private Ramsay Health is the way to go for cheap and cheerful.
I came into the hospital for a full knee replacement . In a time where all we here about hospitals is negative .My stay here has been out standing from the cleaners to the nurses and doctors has been a has been outstanding and I could not recommend this hospital enough
Just come from suddenly having to spend a couple of days there. The medical and nursing staff were mostly caring and professional. However, I found the much of the prepared food inedible and came home quite hungry.
My wife Toni was recently in SCUPH, 2nd time in5 years. Overall, the service by medical staff & non medical personnel was very good. The quality of the meals though was pathetic. One of the reasons for this was no doubt due to the time/distance from the kitchen to the patient, but mainly the meals were NOT typically the home cooked meals we'd all like. They were often highly imaginative creations which few get to taste regularly and by the time the patient received them, they had dried and spoiled. We are advising our health fun we are not getting what we pay for or expect.
A nurse caused my grandfather to fall over as he was leaving the bathroom. The nurse did not report the incident and said everything was fine. I understand this may not be just relevant to this hospital but it may be a culture there. Don't 100% trust your loved ones will be looked after.
Very happy after my stay here. Wonderful friendly staff from reception through to the nursing and catering staff. Couldn't believe how good the food was too and I'm picky! Lovely clean facility. Top marks from me.
My experience last Friday afternoon with SCUPH was absolutely exceptional. On entering the building, my greeting was extremely friendly from the gentleman at his stand alone desk , whom accompanied me in the lift to the next floor . The receptionist was extremely friendly & reassuring as she knew l was very nervous All the nurses before & after my procedure were professional, friendly, kind & gentle My Doctors; Dr Price & Dr Macgarty were amazing!! Truly a credit to you all, keep up the good work , you certainly have excelled my expectations. Margaret
I was admitted for a procedure, generally very friendly staff. But this time before the procedure the nurse who put the drip in was extremely unfriendly and unprofessional, I ask to have the drip put not on top of my hand due to bruising. She told me it was not my choice where she would put the needle. When I told her its my body and my choice, she became aggressive to the point of yelling. When she was finished with my drip, she attended to another patient and then complaint about me to the other person. I was very happy with my doctor, the procedure and the other nurses. Next time I might consider another private hospital like Buderim, I rather travel an extra mile than be treated like that.
The staff at this hospital - from management down - need to address their ethical standards and practices urgently. I also suggest they read Ramsay Health's values, of which they supposedly abide by, but clearly do not. To the staff at this hospital: please learn the meaning of compassion. I also suggest that people in management positions refrain from jumping to conclusions and subjecting patients to cruelty for the sheer purpose of protecting themselves. If you are considering an admission here as a patient I suggest you do so with caution. You've been warned.
How lucky can one be. Great hospital, great staff, unbelievable service. well done guys. Some people will always complain no matter what. It is not and cannot be like a 6 star hotel. My wife and I have been lucky enough to be treated at this private hospital since Nov 2017. Organization experienced, by myself, in the cardiac ward was amazing. The caring given to my wife knee replacement was fabulous. Thank you all
