Five. Months ago I received a total knee replacement from Dr Daevyd Rodda and his team and although this was a very painful experience it was a very positive one, this may sound very strange but I love my new knee I can depend on it all the time something I had not been able to do for a long time. To go through this operation is a huge decision and right from the beginning of this journey I felt supported and at ease with Dr Rodda and his team, they treated me as an equal which unfortunately does not always happen in the medical profession. If you need to go through with this operation I can highly recommend Dr Daevyd Rodda.

Dr. Daevyd Rodda!!!! What an amazingly lovely, talented young man. I am a nearly 68 year old woman, who had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Rodda for the very first time in early January this year. After being on one waiting list or another, for total hip replacement, for four and a half years, I was very fortunate to finally have surgery on 30th of January this year. Words cannot describe how grateful & thankful I am to Dr. Rodda, for the wonderful success of my surgery. It has now been only 5 weeks & 6 days since my surgery, and I can honestly say that from the very first day after surgery, I have had absolutely no pain at all, and I can now do just about everything that I used to love doing up to four and a half years ago. I am also very much looking forward to getting back to work very soon. A very big thank you to Dr. Rodda for giving me back my life, and I do wish him all the very best for what I believe, will be a very successful future.

My husband was booked in for a total hip replacement (THR) with an orthopaedic surgeon on the Sunshine Coast. We both work in health care and a colleague (physiotherapist) mentioned we should consider seeing Dr Daevyd Rodda who performs this surgery from an anterior aspect. We called Dr Rodda’s rooms to find out more about this way of surgery and his delightful Nurse Una, was extremely helpful taking the time to explain what was involved in the anterior approach. Prior to seeing Dr Rodda, my husband and I did some research and made the decision he would have his THR anteriorly. During our initial consultation with Dr Rodda, he took the time to explain to us the pros and cons of both posterior and anterior surgeries and was not biased one way or the other, allowing us to make a well informed decision (he was not aware we had decided prior to this consult). On return to the ward one and a half hours post-op, my Husband was out of bed and mobilising with the physio! Four weeks post-op, my husband was back driving; exercising and doing all the activities he was able to do prior to the debilitating pain he was experiencing pre-operatively. Dr Rodda is an amazingly talented orthopaedic surgeon with a bedside manner that is second to none and we are extremely lucky to have him on the Sunshine Coast. We sincerely thank you for your excellent care and treatment Dr Daevyd Rodda.

It is a great honour and pleasure to write these lines for Dr. Daevyd Rodda, whom I have known as an excellent Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Sunshine Coast. There are only a few people that I have met in my professional career with such high professional standards and moral values as Daevyd has. There is no match for his bedside mannerism, empathy towards patients and collegiate support. It was a great honour to provide my services as a Rehabilitation Physician to Daevyd's patients, who had excellent immediate and long term postoperative outcomes with markedly improved mobility, function and the quality of life.
