Lovely bubbly friendly service and quickly made you feel very welcome. The ginger crunch was perfect! The open air tables with nice shaded spots was just beautiful! And on the banks of the rail trail - just perfectly located.

Thankyou so much for a wonderful stopover with our grandchildren. We all enjoyed the yummy food  and really great service.  A real treat!

Our group had morning tea at the  Cafe. Our coffee  and cheese scones were very nice. The setting is a nice  spot to stop. Friendly staff.

One star because they do not accept credit or any non-Kiwi card. I’ve traveled all over NZ and never have I experienced any cafe that wouldn’t accept my credit card, even cafes that were more remote and in less touristy areas. I could not order anything or enjoy my time there and I’m extremely disappointed. Very unprofessional of them not to accommodate international visitors. 

That being said, the staff was friendly, the place was cheerful, and I’m sure if you’re a local, their cafe is great.
