Expected so much more. Very expensive and the food was below average. My husband had the ribs which was dry and overcooked. My son's chicken was bland and dry. We waited about 50 minutes for our food despite the fact that it was not busy at all. This used to be a lovely spot. Beautiful shady areas that had tables and chairs. All gone. Moved to an undercover area that is hot and stuffy. We will not be back.

What a great find. Don't let the unassuming facade deter you, this place is an absolute must for a long relaxed lunch. Friendly staff and amazing food expertly matched with local wines. Don't miss it.

Definitely make a reservation cause the place gets crowded, but the food won't disappoint. Staff is very friendly, and the wine was also very good (I had a pinot noir). We didn't do the Gold Town part, but overall the view is great and the location is wonderful.

We had always planed to visit Wild Earth on our tour of the South Island and was not disappointed, the food was a delight and the little gold town enjoyable. Both great value for money.
