STA Travel

We arrived right before they closedo and there was no hint from our advisor Will that he was not pleased to see us. Tried every possible option for our complex travel plans to find us a good deal. All his colleagues went home and will was still chirpy and helpful 1.5 hours after closing time. Found us a really good deal too. Highly recommended using them if your travel plans are a bit complex. Customer service has been really excellent too.

Terrible customer service.. Called the first time to request information on the flights, one of the male staff who picked up the phone was super rude and impatient. I was really annoyed by him but they have quite a good deal on the flight I wanted so I decided to give them a try. I called the second and this time a girl picked up the phone and she asked me to send her my details over the emails, then she said she would reply me. The second day I didn't receive any call back so I called STA on Swanston again. This time, a guy picked up (he sounded like the first guy) and told me the girl was on leave and would be back two days later! I requested the guy to help me on the issue so I forwarded my details to their office email address. He confirmed he received it and said he would check it and call me back. I still have not received his call back so I'm not bothered to book the flight with them anymore. I'd rather book with other travel agents. It's a shame that STA has some good deals, great website but pooorr customer service (Not sure if it's just the Swanston branch).

I booked some unusual round the world flights with STA, and they were incredibly helpful - they found cheaper routes, arranged flights with good connections and reasonable times and ended up saving $500! I would definitely use them again

Poor service. Called the first thing in the morning for a flight to New York. The agent said she was gonna check and call me back. Did not heard from her at all, decided to call back at 2pm. the staff picking up the phone said they were all busy and would call me back. Got a call back at 4.30pm only to be told the seat was already taken and I had to go with another airline which was 400AUD more expensive. So I had to pay an extra 400AUD just because she neglected my booking earlier.
