I recently had knee surgery at this hospital. The care and attention was excellent. The doctors and nursing staff were extremely kind and professional. It is well worth your while to travel to Toowoomba just to be cared for by the lovely people that work here.
Amazing caring staff. I had two nights at St Vincents following surgery and can't fault the experience. Menu and food service are 5 star. Particular thanks to the nursing staff in St Damians.
I came into St Vincent’s for a colonoscopy. To be honest for me the only uncomfortable part of the colonoscopy is the prep drink you have the day before which is very sweet.nnI was admitted at the main entrance 1 then walked to the endoscopy area with a lovely nurse where I got changed into the gown and dressing gown.nI waited for about an hour or so in the lounge and watched tv in the comfiest big chair with a nice warm blanket.nThen I was called to go into the procedure room . My gown stayed on and they put on a blanket so I was nice and warm. I was then straight off to sleep and woke up in the recovery area. I had a “sedation” anaesthetic so I wasn’t groggy when I woke up, I was able to get changed then have a yummy sandwich, coffee and biscuit. I had no pain or discomfort.nnThe lady in admissions was so kind, Bree the bowel nurse was very helpful, Dr Egerton and Dr Bond were incredibly friendly and the Anaesthetic Nurse Chloe was so lovely and professional. Thank you for a positive hospital experience.
Just spent a few days here after hip replacement surgery. Couldn't fault the staff from admission to discharge. Food very nice. Though I would have liked a hot drink later than 6.30pm. Physio's had me out of bed a few hours post op. Rather scary but made sense to get me moving . Well done St Ann's ward ,StVincent's, Toowoomba. Feeling very grateful.
I had an excellent experience at St Vincent's. During admission and discharge the Admin staff were friendly and efficient. The nursing staff were very professional and made me feel comfortable both prior to and post-surgery. Physios didn't make me feel like I had to overdo exercises post-surgery and the room service means of ordering meals is a great idea. And the food was good. Overall, great experience.
