Best private school in 20 km radius in my view. Principal (Dr Paul Browning) is excellent, approachable and very committed to providing future-proof education. Teachers have been great. Great school grounds and so much variety at school. The school has a strong music focus and boast having more than 50 musical bands from memory. It caters for kids from Pre-Prep to Year 12 and the High school facilities are impressive. The school caters for children who are highly academic but also has great options for more creative and technically minded children who prefer laser cutting and wood working or fashion design. The sports facilities are astounding with numerous sports fields, an obstacle course and even a golf course (Which I am yet to visit). With 124 acres of space it means this school definitely has room to grow and thrive. There is also a strong focus on computer science and coding for kids, and at some point each child requires their own laptop for school. Highly recommend booking a school tour if you think this school may suit your family. The school is based in the Anglican faith but they are not over the top in their religious studies and the teachers and headmaster all seem to show respect for other faiths and cultural beliefs. The on-site YMCA has improved significantly in the last 6 months. With the new manager on board the YMCA before/after school facilities is becoming more of a viable care option. Julie and her staff are making a big effort to improve the quality of services offered to students at St Paul’s. There is a large Japanese Department in the school that hosts international Japanese students. Admittedly, the school fees are double that of the next best private school within 10km but it’s totally worth every cent! This is a great school with department heads that have all been very approachable, friendly and accommodating in our experience. They also offer specialised plans for children with mild OT or mild special needs that can be managed in a standard school environment. Many school activities are run each year from disco’s, a Camping night and much more. Finally I also want to mention that specialist classes (such as art, music, physical education and Japanese) are taught by teachers who have specialised in these subjects. There is a general focus at this school of delivering an education that exceeds just meeting high OT scores. Dr Paul Browning is focussed on providing an education that will be suitable and will prepare the children for a workforce that is evolving at a pace of increasing speed. _________________________________________ PLEASE CLICK ‘LIKE’ if you found any part of my review useful or informative.
