under a pseudonym writing this. honestly, i really like this school and a lot of the students and staff are very friendly and lovely people. however, one thing i should warn anyone wanting to join qaci about is the lack of draft and feedback you'll get. i wasn't warned of this at all before joining. i'm currently halfway through year 10 and i've gotten absolutely no draft feedback and honestly, it's made my grades drop from A's to B's. the only draft feedback i've had so far is for english and it was more general and not at ALL tailored to tell you the specific things needed to be fixed. they'll also likely bunch up a lot of assignment due dates together so there's lots of stress in that. enjoy your first exam block, though. if you prepare well, it'll be pretty stress-free and you end up with a lot of free time.
10/10, only complaint is that the chips are not always the same type of chips. Best restaurant in QACI.
The food wast bangin'. Most people coequal m're so. Teachest'rs w're quaint most wondrous too. not enow chairs. Locketh'rs locketh not despite their names, a bett'r way to describeth those folk wouldst beest cupboards. The best school I've ever been to. Coming from a different private highschool, I noticed both that QACI was more attentive to their students and had better quality of education. The people here are so much better than anywhere else, there's little tolerance for mistreatment but my advice is to try to stay out of drama as much as possible. Like any school, just avoid it. I love all of the teachers, you can tell that each of them genuinely cares so much about each of their students and about the subject they're teaching. I don't think the other reviews really do the school justice---it's rigorous academically, but that's what you should've expected coming to an IB school. As long as you plan and ask your teachers for help, you'll be alright. I also don't agree that the school is best only for future actors-- a lot students actually end up going into STEM, because the Science programs here are really, really good. The Arts are also really good here. If you ARE an aspiring actor, the theatre program here is a good choice. I've taken most of the subjects because I'm indecisive, and every time I moved the teachers helped me get on track. I'm graduating this year and I don't want to leave. I love this school so much!
If your child aspires to excel academically, do not send your child to QACI. The incompetent teachers and the IB coordinator will destroy your child’s future. Runway from this school...!!!
