St Kilda film festival continues to thrill and excite with elite film material at a brilliant, vintage venue. The town hall is a stimulating place with countless architectural features of the 1900s. The event utilises many of its rooms and corridors with the relevant amenities to host the cultural festival each year. The decorative interiors and exteriors invite and entice me back for the film festival every time.
Absolutely magical experience at St Kilda Town Hall. I closed my eyes and let the music wrap around me — the violin was so tender and alive, every note felt like it was speaking right to me. Surrounded by a sea of glowing candles in that beautiful hall, it felt so warm and peaceful, like stepping into a little world of its own. Such an unforgettable night, handled with such gentle care. Thank you so much for something so special.
At 1pm today the CoPP street sweeping van thought it appropriate to deliberately delay the Number 12 tram full of passengers on Park Rd, St Kilda West. For 5 minutes, the tram driver frantically hit the bell to get the street cleaner to move left but he remained on the tram track even though there was plenty of room. When we eventually passed, l witnessed him giving the finger to the tram driver and everyone on board. As l got off the tram l saw the van approaching and asked him what his issue was. He instantly became confrontational. He proceeded to take photos of me to intimidate. No regard for residents and no regard for CoPP values. This is pure bully-boy behaviour and does not meet community expectations. I suggest before cleaning the filth on the streets, doing a thorough internal cleanse, which is long overdue.
Awesome film festival! And these guys are just student graduates! What a great community event. If only creatives and students were supported with an Ali - contributing to social cohesion! . P.s. I have included my 'mock up' flyer, I hope to get community one™ launched soon.nnMaybe one of the film makers could help with some promotional video for our launch?
Visited here for the St Kilda Film Festival opening night after party. Lucky to get park in street. Nice old building, like all of these types are, and a great big function room where the food was in abundance abd the drinks were flowing. Had sparkling and husband had red. Also liked the way big screens at either end showing clips of classic 60's films.
