Large City Hall for all sorts of functions that has recently been substantially renovated from its previous rather tired appearance. Now very modern and contemporary looking inside and out. Doesn't have a huge amount of character, it's still a big barn of a place, but it's certainly much more elegant than previously and is suitable for all sorts of functions with a large raised stage area. With atmospheric lighting and some decorations it can be adapted for a myriad of uses and the main hall easily seats 400-600+ for dinner and still leaves a decent size dance floor. There is another decent sized room off the main one which is often used for graduation gowning, predinner drinks, or buffet meal setups etc. Since the new library/community centre has been completed, parking and access is dreadful and signage to entrances is non existent or invisible. Main carpark is at BACK of the building with a long walk around to the side entrance, which when I arrived was locked. Then had to backtrack and hike through soft soil, grass, and jump across a fence to get to the main entrance which is totally inaccessible to guests vehicles for dropping off and picking up. A nightmare to get a taxi or Uber, especially if it's raining like when I was there.

Great place to get your children vaccinated at when the council does their immunisation here. The library, Cafe, playground and water play areas are right outside for distracting the little ones before and/or after.
The new library and park look amazing. It was great to see it on my allowed exercise.

Renovated around 5 or so years ago. Looks really good.
Don't know what is happening with the city hall, seems to have been pulled down and any form of refurbishment seems to be taking a long long time.
