The food is ok but the staff is a bit weird. He was asking if my Louis Vuitton is real or fake. I have already told him like "lol I will carry nothing or only real stuff" but he was still keeping asking the same stupid question. By the way, that was a male waitstaff, pretty tall and wares glasses. If you can't have a good conversation with customers then better don't talk.

Infamous long lived eighties style establishment. Still likes itself too much. Food average. Seats uncomfortable. Decor like a niteclub with pokey toilets to match. Staff supercilious or brash camp. Clearly still plenty of patrons who like it too much as well.

We love SPQR. Fabulous menu, interesting people watching and a great place to sit outside and get pissed.

Beautiful food at this restaurant. Unfortunately our waiter was very condescending but we didn't let that spoil a wonderful evening. Great ambience. Perhaps the waiter could have told us the price of the oysters when he offered them as a special on the menu. Probably wouldn't have bought them at $66.00 per dozen. Great location in Ponsonby with good indoor/outdoor flow.
