We had an excellent experience at Miss Istanbul for dinner this evening. The food was absolutely amazing. We had the Chefs choice and I'm pretty pleased we did. Great value for money, I would 100% recommend checking this gem out. We will definitely go back soon!

I had the strangest dining experience here. Between the young female waitress and the older male cook, both heavily accented and therefore hard to understand, it was completely unclear what we were being served and what the price would be. We ordered half vegetarian food and half meat dishes and only got one meat dish. On the plus side, the pomegranate smoothies were original and excellent.

Very stylish street-food-style spot with plenty of Turkish delights ;-). Don't forget to try their chilled pomegranate tea, tasty borek and salep during one of those cold and rainy days.

Unwelcoming, rude, and discourteous. We had a realy badexperience with the owner of this business. We sat down with our 12 month old (at a table neighbouring his business). There was a booster seat on the table we sat at, and I asked the customers sitting there if we could use the seat. I took the seat for our daughter only to have the owner of Miss Istanbul take the seat from me and refuse that we use it - this was all before we had actually properly seated ourselves. The fact that I was about to order from his restaurant didn't phase him. It was really unfortunate to see this level of service at a great establishment like Ponsonby Central - such a shame that he puts such a nasty stain on what is normally a great experience at Ponsonby Central. Note: This review is not a review on the quality of their food which I obviously didn't end up trying as a result of the owners actions.

Food is good but I wouldn't 'leave it up to the chef' as it can get pretty pricey of you're after some decent meats. Best to stick to the items in the menu.
