Best gym in cairnsnIt feels big and spacious inside with more than enough equipment.  two cardio areas and  two group session rooms.nAwesome outdoor area with a big swimming pool, a spa and large decent size sauna and an infrared saunanplenty of showers, and parking  and lovely staff.nNot mention squash courts yet I’m yet to use.nAnd I just like the vibe here. Can’t fault at all

Positives:n• Included classes are great and the instructors are amazingn• Swimming pool & saunas are a nice inclusionn• Generally not too busy and good space around the gymnnNegatives:n• Expensive sign up fee for no reason. You have to register yourself on a tablet and pay for the pleasure of itn• Some equipment and parts of the building are showing their age. There are cheaper gyms in Cairns with much nicer/newer equipment and more varietynnStaff are lovely except one who has been mentioned numerous times in other reviews but doesn't seem interested in taking it on board.

Possibly the worst gym I have ever been to. Signed up for a free trial as I just moved to Cairns, went in with my family as they all already work out at Genesis. I was greeted by a very rude receptionist who refused my id because it didn’t have my local cairns address, even though I’ve only just moved up and my family has been living here for 20+ years. I told them that my brother, mum and dad all work out at genesis and I wanted to see if it is the right gym for me but she still refused and demanded I pay $15 casual entry. I paid the entry without hassle to only be confronted by the most out of date gym equipment. Unfortunately after this experience, my family and I will be moving to a different gym due to the poor facilities and unfriendly staff at reception. As a social media guide I will not be recommending these facilities to any future customers due to this harsh and confronting experience on all platforms.

Very disappointed with this gym. They advertise a 2-week free pass but refused to honor it because I don’t have a local driver’s license, even though I provided proof of living here and payslips. This policy is absurd and feels like false advertising. If this is how they treat potential members, I won’t bother signing up

Went in to ask about memberships and prices and the staff lady with the pink hair was not friendly and had a hostile approach. She also looked like she was rushing me, although reception was empty. It made me not want to sign up with this gym
