Southlands fabric and sewing Center is definitely one of Perth’s best ! Helen and her team are friendly and approachable. They are very experienced and are always willing to share that experience and knowledge with anyone. The range of fabrics and notions is extensive and the quality of the fabrics is top notch . The classes are taught by highly skilled individual’s and the cost is very reasonable considering what you come away with in knowledge and product. The environment at Southlands is amazing, very friendly, open and welcoming. I highly recommend this business for all levels of sewing or quilting enthusiasts.
My favourite place to go to the "Sit and Sew" day on Mondays. The setup they have there is amazing. Lots of tables, ironing board, cutting table setup and kitchen facilities too. Lots of chatter and laughs with the other ladies that come as well. What a great way to get us socialising about sewing a bit more.
Fabulous quilt shop! Huge selection and wonderful staff! The owner even offered to photo copy a pattern for me off a display quilt that she didn't sell but was from her personal collection. Bought five beautiful pieces of batiks. Perfect purchase until I left my bag on the bus and lost it all. I'm an idiot. Give them a go. You won't be disappointed!! Unless you leave your bag on the bus!

Utterly devastated!!! Bought $1,600 sewing machine! Come home and opened the box and it’s not brand new !!! Called Helen back , to say that we are so devastated and will be coming for exchange for a BRAND NEW and Helen wouldn’t listen that it a not new machine, hanged up the phone and wouldn’t talk! Tried to call back and she accused me of calling her a liar. Absolutely Appalling Customer Service!!
What an amazing place!!!. I did a overlocker course and Toni was a great patient teacher. I learnt so much. Everything for sewing is here. Love this place.

Beautiful store, lovely range of fabrics. However on more than one occasion I have found the staff to be snobby and not interested in their customers. Hence I don't shop there anymore.
They serviced my old Bernina sewing machine for me, promptly. Also got a new pedal for my other Bernina. Easy peasy. So friendly and helpful. Great range of fabrics, ribbons, kits and machines.
