Southgate is located directly opposite Flinders Street Station and is positioned at the gateway to Melbourne's art precinct of theatres and galleries, as well as nearby Melbourne's renowned parks, gardens and international sporting venues.
As a landmark city destination, Southgate offers a number of restaurants, cafes and bars, everyday specialty retail stores, an undercover 24 hour car park and licensed riverside food court with spectacular views of Melbourne's city skyline. The Centre is a popular destination to enjoy major events and celebrations year round and is open 365 days a year from 10am until late.

Love Melbourne and the Southbank Precinct is a major contributor to that love. Amazing atmosphere... Great excuse for a walk anytime of the day or night... But make it a balmy summers evening with a saxophonist stationed under the bridge and youve got to feel soul touching magic our beautiful city has to offer. Xx

Nice place to grab food, nothing particularly cheap here although the food court downstairs is a lot cheaper. Plenty of coffee and drinks places and good parking below. Nice view of the city.

I've always liked going to Southgate whenever I'm in Melbourne. A nice place with a variety of things to see. Good for lunch or dinner or even just a coffee. Will  Definitely go again

A great place to spend eating and just strolling around looking at all the different sites. Gives great views of the city and has access to all the city's ferry destinations. Only a short walk from Flinders Street station and Melbournes theatre hall. The food choices are endless and most are first class.

Spent New Years eve here with friends and loved it. Great vibe lots of food choices. Only reason I give 4 instead of 5 is the toilet facilities could have been  cleaner.
