Their coffee is real good.. Ordered a flat white and an oat latte. A balanced, rich, and complex flavor profile, with a smooth and pleasant mouthfeel. A pleasant aroma, and the taste is neither too bitter nor too acidic.. Just remember to get an extra shot at no cost for those large 16oz sizes to ensure the flavour doesn't get washed out, as it comes with two shots originally.
The coffee's are great no doubt. But the food section really needs to improve. I bought Chicken pasta which was only boiled pasta with no salt no flavour no sauce and only crumbled chicken. How do you even sell that?
I have been here multiple times and the food is decent. Staff should ensure more of the meat or falafel option is being packed as per the name rather than just the pasta or the salad with one or two pieces of meat/falafel. One of the servers, an Indian man there were two working that day on 12/10/22- the other was more introverted was particularly pushy to upgrade a size on the boxes. It was an extremely uncomfortable experience as after I refused to size up, he became rude and dismissive - would be worth a chat regarding customer service.
Ordered a takeaway crumbed chicken sliced with pasta salad. In my opinion, the pasta was way overcooked, all split and flat, supposed to be tube shaped pasta. For a small container it was 95% pasta, 4 % chicken, 1% capsicum, red onion. So basically a spend on cold pasta with no seasoning. Unfortunately this franchise ruins the reputation of other stores around Australia. First and last visit.
Poor service, ignore customers, staff don’t seem interested in working there or representing the business positively. The food at all Soul Origin is always plentiful and alright though.
Massive rip off. Have a plate of Greek salad and chicken and avocado salad. - The Greek salad literally had 1 olive and absolutely no feta in it. - The chicken and avocado salad had the tiniest bit of avocado. Basically paid $12 for leaves and massively cut cucumbers and tomatoes to pretend like it was a Greek salad.
I found this bug in my take home salad.
Initial ordering was a bit of a process just because my wife wanted something different. Took quite a while to receive the order and a bacon and egg roll I had ordered was stone cold. Price was ok but i wasted half my money when I threw the cold bacon and egg roll away. Seems to be popular for coffee so maybe if I do go back there again, I'll try a hot coffee to see why the locals seem to rate it so highly.
The baguette I ordered was mostly bread.. they prepare them to look full but disappointing
Check the machine before you swipe your card. I ordered a panini yesterday - no prices marked on the display and the server presented the machine to me in a way that was hard to see the price, as soon as I swiped and she moved the machine I could see the price was $24. I asked what the price was and she said $13.50 rip off anyway and I said she just charged me $24!!!! She didn't bat an eye and took cash out of the drawer to return to me. Obviously not the first time that has been done. Double check the machine and don't trust them. How many times have they tried and succeeded to get away with that little trick? I won't be back.
