A woman fell over outside the Lemon Grove this morning and knocked her tooth out. It was a serious fall. She was in shock and blood was everywhere, and we couldn't move her straight away so I ran up to the SO dentist and asked if a dentist could come have a look at her. The receptionist wasn't very helpful once I told her the situation. She wasn't rude, she simply just wasn't compassionate or attentive. She said that a dentist couldn't come even though they weren't attending any patients at the current time as they had just opened 5 mins prior. She said the dentist needed his implements, but that is no excuse for not coming and having a look at the severity of the situation. We ended up calling an ambulance and they were much more helpful. Granted this isn't an every day situation, it was pretty poor service.
