No longer bulk billing and the only notice I got was an email. I've been seeing the same doctor now for 5 years roughly 1-2 times a month and he is great. I had an appointment today and was short on funds this week. After my appointment when asked if I could please pay the fee on my pay day they said "no, you have until 5:30pm to pay or your not receiving your scripts and medical certificate" Your meant to care about people's physical and mental health, I'm a long time patient of your clinic and you treated me with no sympathy or compassion. I understand and accept the change in billing but I don't accept the unwillingness to work with me through my situation.
Apparently they wont accept a new booking even though hotdoc - there new booking system has days free of appointments for several doctors because I haven't been to the clinic for 2 years It's also the only doctor I go to. Their excuse is that It would take a longer consult which they are un-prepared to do. If you need a reliable doctor - maybe don't go here The doctors have been good to me - but the arbitrary rules are pretty terrible and make you feel guilty for not needing a doc for a couple of years.
We have been going here for many years, in that time we lost 1 doctor who sadly passed away, another one just walked out while people were waiting to see him. On that note, be prepared to wait 15-30 minutes past your appointment. They started charging you a 'fee' if you didn't give enough notice for a cancellation. It became quite clear that $martclinic$ is more interested in profits rather than people. No longer bulk billing reinforces that. I've now had to change gp's because of their greed. Sad really, because my doctor there was really good.
So I just got told it’s now $80 a visit to see a doctor, so what no Medicare or your just charging because you can, All your doing is putting more pressure on the hospital AS I CANT AFFORD THAT each time I go to see my doctor, I’ve got a long term heart condition so what do I do now, I can’t go back as my tables alone cost a lot on top of living, this is not American I thought we lived in Australia with good health care, I’ve been going there for years but now I won’t be able to afford to go , the same with my daughter who’s due in January with her baby and when she said that to the lady that she now can’t afford to return to finish off doctors appointment due to the cost , the employee wasn’t impressed, well WE ARE NOT IMPRESSED EITHER, so I guess we roll the dice on our health and hope for the best, as everyone eals in Ipswich won’t take on new patients as they are to full So I guess it’s the hospital when I’m desperate, Couldn’t be more devastated by how bad this situation is, nor do they care
Been a Patient here for a very long time ......Made an appointment online, got there on time checked in, told there will be a fee today, well would have been good to have know that earlier, but ok PS no email ever received Sat there for 30 minutes, watched the doctor stroll into the coffee shop to get a water and snack, come out and take in a patient, so I got to reception as ask "what time is my appointment" -- Answer "Oh that's my fault, I will get him to take you next" --- I say I'm going, not going to pay $30 for you to waste 30 minutes of my time, Answer "Ok lovely" NOT SO MUCH AS A SORRY ... how pathetic could not care one bit that they have stuffed up
I had to ring to make a enquiry about getting a proof of medical condition form faxed I was Cut off multiple times while talking to the receptionist not letting me explain what was going on, I was refused telehealth appointment when all I need is to get it faxed
10 plus years ago I would have given them a 5 star rating. It used to be a great clinic however now it seems to be very money driven. Over the years I have waited up to over an hour past my appointment time. I understand sometimes this can't be avoided, everyone's time is important. They extort your health care, $40 and no appointment until you pay, if you miss appointments. Also having the practice manager come out of their office at you, very rude.
I have never had a problem with this clinic. All staff have always been kind and accomadating. Hard to book appointments on line with the app though so i just ring in. Only down side is the wait times are often over an hr.
Horrible staff and management. You will see God walking on this earth before you see any of them smile. Doctors don’t actually care about your medical conditions they will all back eachother up due to them working together. Been here for over 5 years and glad I have made the move over to Winston Glades Family Medical Centre they are amazing. All my family used to come here but have all slowly moved to different clinics due to the so called ‘doctors’.
It's like a ghost town now, which once was a good place to go. But it has changed over the years, the staff come and go like a revolving door, and treat the patients like a revolving door too. The receptionist is very unprofessional and rude towards the patients.....sick people! The pharmacy was very handy, but has moved further up Warwick Rd to the new medical centre, where I will be trying next.
