After living there for 7 months and while I appreciate that this is a place to give people a second chance I'm appalled, potholes, leaking pipes, dirty bathrooms, flooding showers, syringes left in the toilets, not to mention the unprofessional attitude of certain staff, 
the park is rife with drug use/dealing (having an incident where a resident actually knocked on our door one morning trying to sell to my partner and I) the politics in the park are beyond childish and while a lot of residents are great and are polite/keep to themselves others spoil it for everyone by spreading senseless rumours one of which includes being told by staff that the park was going to be closed down to make room for a road, which if it is found to be true the staff should be alerting all their tenants immediately and if not they should be getting their act together because this is just not acceptable

What people need to remember is that shawlands is not a holiday park most of you that have complained about the place have needed a helping hand aswell as a roof over your heads and shawlands gave you and so many like you what you needed at the time and then you have the one's that will bite the hand that feeds them.
Shawlands is a second chance for alot of people who either just need a place to call home or to feel like there part of a family community can't help the people if you can call them that,that come and stuff up there second chance and destroy property then complain the place isn't good enough.
If your looking to make a second go in life but need a helping hand from people that can understand this is the place to come Liz and Rob (my parents)have the biggest of hearts but if your just looking for the red carpet to be layed out here think again a home is what you make out of it if shawlands caravan park isn't good enough for you then being homeless or sleeping in your car sorry is were you belong..

I lived here for a good 3-4 months. Worst months of my life! 
Caravan was constantly leaking with rain water, I'd wake up to my bed dripping wet. 
Told owners they did nothing apart from say "it's due to old age of the caravan" 
Creepy men walking around of a night time.
Drug needles.
It got to the point where I'd have to ask my partner to come to the bathrooms and showers with me because I was so creeped out. 
I don't recommend living there or even staying there for a holiday or a get away!

Dirty, behavior of some residents and guests led me to believe there was onsite drug dealing and use within the park.

Its very dingy with rundown caravans that have tape around windows etc to stop leaks some of the furniture is wonky People friendly but definitely not worth the $190. a week. they want for rent. Not appealing what so ever  and photos shown for ads are not what you see when you get there...
