We had a family Christmas staying at Shady Acres. It was fantastic, the amenities were clean, the swimming pool was fantastic, yes the park is dated but plenty of space and shade. We had a van site and our children had a cabin. The staff were just great as our van site was close to the cabin, very helpful and honest. Thank you for our 6 enjoyable nights staying with you
I stayed the night of spilt milk festival and admin was incredibly friendly and helpful. On top of this, the price of the cabin was $350 cheaper than similar ranked caravan parks in the region. I would highly recommend staying here!
Stayed here twice for 2 weeks each time. Stayed in cabins with two small dogs. Very comfortable and clean. The owner operators are super friendly. Highly recommend.
Well maintained facility, had a great stay, a bit dated but the toilets were clean and swimming pool was open for all. The management was friendly
We stayed here for two days recently at a cost of $31 per day. It was our first time here and had read good things about it. We weren't disappointed. We arrived early before 2pm and the manager graciously checked us in anyway, she was a pleasant lady. After telling her it was our first time out with our caravan she gave us a "drive through" site, which we greatly appreciated. It was located right at the front of the park and across from the office and main entrance. If you read other reviews, the most common comment you'll notice is that it's "aged". Yes, it's not new, bright and shiny, however, it's extremely clean, neat and tidy. What more could you ask for? The amenity block consists of men's/women's showers and toilets which were spotless and were maintained that way whilst we were there. There is also a large swimming pool which we're sure would be busy in the summer months. It was a wet and miserable weekend and pretty much poured the entire time we were there, so, we weren't able to explore the rest of the park, From what we could see, it seemed quite pleasant. The park is located on the main road heading into Ballarat and is about a 10 minute drive. There is PLENTY to see and do in the town itself. All in all, our stay at Shady Acres was a pleasant one and we've booked another stay for later in June.
Cabin was very dirty and dusty, with cobwebs everywhere. Kitchen utility drawer was filthy along with the pots. Could not light the gas oven. Won't be coming back or recommending this park to anyone
It maybe an old Park, but it's amenities are clean. Lovely stay
Staff are friendly & accommodating but the actual park itself is a bit run down. I booked so I could take a shower, they were clean enough & did the job. If you are after a place to sleep & shower this is a good place for that.
Well priced, friendly service. Stayed for a festival at Kryal Castle, we were able to check in early to attend the festival in time. Very accommodating and great hospitality. Pool was in clean condition perfect for a hot summer swim! Would recommend for friends and families.
We loved our stay here. We were given a huge campsite. The owner was always smiling while she spoke to us. 3 nights $150 $50p/n on a powered site. The showers and toilets were very clean and constantly maintained and every morning the gardener would care to the property. We will definitely come back.
