House Rules

We’re a passionate lot here at Scitech - we love talking about science and sharing information about Scitech, our interactive science centre in Perth, as well as our activities around this vast state of Western Australia.

Our aim is to create a community inspired by and engaged in STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths). We welcome your questions and comments and encourage you to share your photos, links and experiences of Scitech.

In order to make this an enjoyable experience for all, we ask that you follow our House Rules.

• Be nice – we’re a friendly bunch, we’d like to keep it that way
• Keep it clean – if you wouldn’t show it to your mother, don’t share it with us
• Be respectful – remember that we’re all different

This space was created for you to share, learn and enjoy – please use it that way.

Moderation

This page is monitored during business hours 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday. During these times, we regularly review posts, questions, comments, feedback and reviews and respond as soon as possible.

We aim to provide a positive experience for all. To do this, we reserve the right to take down photos, comments and other material deemed inappropriate by Scitech. This includes, but is not limited to: vulgar language; disturbing photos; angry or aggressive behaviour towards other people using this space or our team members; anything in violation of any intellectual property rights of others.

If someone persists in offensive behaviour or continually violates any of our house rules, we may block that person from further participation. So please, just be nice.

Our mission is to increase awareness, interest, capability and participation by all Western Australians in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

Thought this might be a good stop for an hour or two, but ended up staying 3-4 hours! This place has a huge amount to explore for the kids, prompting lots of scientific questions and teaching them new things outside their normal curriculum. The planetarium show only 10 minutes was absolutely brilliant for all ages, and both our kids learned a lot from this short show, and enjoyed it thoroughly! Activities were broad, and included building cars to race down a ramp, controlling robots, or going in a small wind tunnel! A few options for parking, and recommended to get 2-3+ hours if possible.
Very nice, like most of the science museums we have been so far. It's always super entertaining and fun. We'd loved!!
It’s a shame that parking was a let down given kids had fun at Scitech itself. Parking says free for 2 hours, but you need to get a parking ticket to display in your car. Beyond that, you need to pay, but don’t need to display a ticket ?. This is confusing. We got fined $77 for not displaying a ticket. Scitech just lets visitors deal with TMS directly.
We had our 6-year-old's birthday party at Scitech and had a blast! After searching for the perfect party venue, we realized that Scitech offered birthday parties, which was perfect for our little girl, who is obsessed with both Scitech and science.nnFrom booking to the day of the party, their team were super helpful. On the day of the party, we were greeted at the front by a helper who assisted us in setting up the amazing party room. The kids were then taken to watch a science show, which they loved, and afterward, they utilised the party room for the next hour. After the birthday cake, the kids were able to explore Scitech to their hearts' content.nnAll of the parents kept mentioning how great the party was! Thank you, Scitech, for hosting such a wonderful party that my 6-year-old will never forget.
Great interactive activities for kids of all ages. Planetarium was amazing but we walked out of the documentary as my grandson found it very boring - we wanted to know more about the solar system. Free parking is great at 2 hours.
