House Rules

We’re a passionate lot here at Scitech - we love talking about science and sharing information about Scitech, our interactive science centre in Perth, as well as our activities around this vast state of Western Australia.

Our aim is to create a community inspired by and engaged in STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths). We welcome your questions and comments and encourage you to share your photos, links and experiences of Scitech.

In order to make this an enjoyable experience for all, we ask that you follow our House Rules.

• Be nice – we’re a friendly bunch, we’d like to keep it that way
• Keep it clean – if you wouldn’t show it to your mother, don’t share it with us
• Be respectful – remember that we’re all different

This space was created for you to share, learn and enjoy – please use it that way.

Sci-Tech has been updated and now feels smaller and more suited for younger children 2–8 yrs. My twin toddlers loved the exhibits, exploring and learning with excitement, though it’s more of a view-and-learn space than interactive activities. My 12-year-old, however, found it less engaging and finished exploring quickly, as there aren’t many challenging exhibits for older kids. Still, the space is clean, educational, and fun for little ones. A great short visit if your kids are on the younger side, just don’t expect it to hold older kids attention as much.
Great place for kids to learn and explore.n5 hours would be sufficient for a 10 year old child.nThe planetarium is 45 minutes
Scitech is simply superb for kids of all ages! My children had a great time exploring, and even toddlers would find plenty to enjoy. The interactive activities are both fun and educational. We especially loved the chemistry experiment – the way it was presented and explained was excellent. The planets show was also fascinating and very informative. Highly recommend for a family day out!
Science Discovery Center - great place for the kids to hang out and learn about science. Staff are friendly and welcoming. They have pop up science shows every half hour or so, where the staff perform experiments to illustrate science concepts. They make it fun for the kids.nnWorth a visit!
I have a 3 year old and 9 year old… they both had a fantastic time! We thoroughly enjoyed the new exhibits and the new arrangement of the toddler/kindy area. I love how scitech helps us engage with our kids whilst educating them about science
