Amazing value! $12.50 for a huge portion of Hainanese chicken rice. A rare find in Sydney nowadays. It was tasty and fresh. Got a big piece of chicken leg drumstick and thigh, super soft and succulent meat. The flavourful rice was served separately in a bowl. It would definitely satisfy your hunger. However, the rice was a little bit too moist to my liking and lacked the chicken aroma. And the chicken skin could have a more jelly-like texture, it was too thin. Service was fast in a busy and small food court.
Char kway teow was decently tasty - pretty authentic flavour but needed more dark sauce and wok hei. Combination laksa - broth is very flavoursome, however it's a touch on the sweet side and the spice balance can feel overpowering towards the end, if you manage to make it through the extremely generous portion size. Food rating 3.5 stars, but giving 4 stars on the whole as their dishes are priced affordably given the city location.
This hard to find place look for the Pittsway Arcade signs at no. 303 and walk down is supposed to have great Laksa but the one I had was tasteless, or rather way to sweet and tasted like suncream lotion. No need to come here especially - so many other good Laksa places in the area.
I am going to give this place another go, the hidden food court appears to be becoming some what of a new hunter connection. Food was a little flavourless, but I’m hoping they just had a bad day, there was a huge line that formed after we got our food, so it must be good
Tasty Laksa with nice rice broth. Quick service. The noodle is thinner rice noodle type.
Chicken Rice is And the shop owner was so kind to prepare food for us at 10:20am the food shop is supposed to open at 11:00am
Very affordable Malaysian Store location in CBD under the Town Hall Woolsworth Supermarket all around $11+. Their Hainanese Chicken rice, Laksa and Nasi Lemak are the most popular dishes here. I tried the Hainanese Chicken rice it's flavoursome, tasty and really affordable. The Mee siam was not bad but not the type of mee siam flavours I was expected. Heard that the Nasi Lemak is good but it's not available on Saturday. Would recommend everyone to get their Chicken rice here.
The prices are amazing and the food is flavourful. Bring cash to avoid card surcharges and come early to avoid the rush hour line!Food: 5/5
Easily the best laksa in town - the taste, heat and texture of the noodles and size are on point + great value for money. You wont find anything that good for 13 roos. Bonus: great Hainanese Chicken or Chicken Rice - lots of umami flavour, juicy chicken despite the serving I got was breast/wings part and the hot sauce is like no other - way better than the ones you find in fancy restaurants for only 11.50 roos. The only downside to this place is it pretty hard to find if you don't know your way around Pitt Street.
This is my favourite place. 1. Price, very low price, around $11+- for most of menu 2. Cleanness : Not the best, but no complaint for the lunch. 3. Service: Unless you buy pre-cooked dishes, you may need to wait bit longer than expected. 4. test: pretty good, and nice feel like just Chinese dish. : Overall it is good for short lunch, not the best to gathering, or guests.
