I recently had a lovely lunch at Sardi in Hawthorn. We ordered the chicken & waffles and the detox brunch salad with added poached eggs to eat. For drinks we went with a red velvet latte and a tumeric latte. I really enjoyed the chicken & waffles which had a bit of an Indian twist. Featuring South Indian style crispy buttermilk fried chicken with cardamom waffle and cumin infused maple syrup, the dish was balanced and full of flavour. The chicken was beautifully cooked. It was nice and crispy and I liked that the waffles were thin and on the lighter side. I would happily order this dish again. If you’re after something healthy it’s hard to go past the detox brunch salad. According to my friend it was tasty and refreshing and the dressing was great. One of the highlights of our meal was the cute latte art on our drinks. This was my first time trying a red velvet latte and it was lovely and creamy without being too sweet. I recommend checking out Sardi if you’re in the area. I rate it out of 5. Thanks very much for having me.
How cute is the latte art at Sardi Café : I had a lovely brunch here with my family. We ordered the southern fried chicken burger, the apple pie pancakes and the waffles with crispy chicken. The food was delicious, and my kids loved the pancakes. My husband said the chicken burger was great.
Enjoyed our experience here. Great customer service and we got a seat very quickly even though we were early for our reservation. Highly recommended to try the fried chicken and waffles, though the portion could be a bit bigger, cos it was so good that we didn’t want to share it! Your friendly neighbourhood cafe - Sardi Cafe is truly amazing. Besides being an Instaworthy cafe, the food was absolutely delicious. They had one of the best eggs benedicts I have ever had in my life. The eggs were cooked to perfection. Loved it and will definitely come back soon. The service was great too. Very polite staff. 10/10 recommend.
Super cute cafe serving up delicious coffee, smoothies and food. We ordered the burger and chicken tacos which were great. How cute is my coffee though Will be back to try their brekkie menu soon.
Friendly staffs, delicious coffees. Though I did feel that my fried chicken waffles the chickens were a bit bland and the jackfruit BBQ burger was a bit sour for a liking. The chilli scramble was good though. It was also great how you can select different types of fillings for the tacos, doesn't have to be all the same.Food: 4/5
Southern Fried Chicken Burger The chicken was very succulent matched with super fluffy buns and coleslaw, overall components gave good textures and flavour! Apple Pie Pancakes Highly recommend having this with ice cream to balance out the tartness from the stewed apples. Pancakes were nice and fluffy and the syrup also added sweetness and moistness to the dish. Red Velvet Latte Beautiful pink hue and cute latte art! It tasted like chocolate.
Such a great experience, staff was super friendly!- Sardi Cafe is truly amazing. Besides being an Instaworthy cafe, the food was absolutely delicious. The smashed avocado was just perfect and the southern brunch bowl was so tasty!! Overall a great cafe to hang with friends or loved ones for weekend brunch or afternoon coffees.
Such a fun little cafe with the cutest lattes! They have many brunch options ranging from sandwiches to burgers, smoothies to milkshakes. They also have a kids menu We tried the Brownie waffles, Falafel bowl, Hot chocolate & Mocha. My little one was delighted to see the cotton candy and it turned out to be a perfect family brunch date for us! We really liked the sweet fruity flavour of the Brownie waffles & would totally recommend it. The Falafel bowl was delicious & filling
Awesome cafe with $12.50 burger specials on Mondays and Fridays and $5 tacos on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Great friendly owner who goes out of his way with his staff members to provide quality service and to rectify any concerns without asking why. Highly recommended
