This is a small but nice bakery Cafe. In hart of Hawthorn which is house of cafe and coffee shops, Provence cafe provide you with high quality Pastry, food and Coffee. Normally you have to chose between good coffee and high quality pastry, but it is not the case there. They have good coffee and even better Pastry. I order an”Almond Croissant, French toast , hot porridge and a quiche!!! “ I know it is too much food but believe me we shared it. Let me start with Almond Croissant. I would have say it was one of the best I had except it wasn’t. It was the BEST I ever had! Well done guys. It was piece of art! Crunchy pastry with soft feeling. Also Quiche was perfect. I liked both French toast and Porridge but I would go for pastry next time. Only thing they need to work on is the service. It was very friendly but a bit slowwhich is understandable considering it is a busy place. Overall I had a very good time and I will go back for pastry for sure! I would have left 4.5 star if I had option Ps: they need a heater for outdoor diner as it was a bit cold today.
We were in the area and decided to give this place a go since it was top rated... unfortunately it was dirty. And nothing compared to the google images lol. The French toast was paired with very unusual flavours that didn't match, not to mention you could visibly see the egg and taste it, the strawberries had pieces of dirt on them... the drinks were undrinkable. The staff was great, the place just needs an upgrade that's all...
Finally one of my favourite cafes reopen after lockdown! Amazing food at Provence Kitchen, I love my avo with boiled egg and crispy bacon - simply superb! And the fresh bread OMG … you have to try
Quaint little space with sheltered outdoor seating available. Indoor area is very country chic. Coffee is good and nice selection of homemade baked goods. Recommend the custard tarts and quiche. Croissants are okay. Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options Kid-friendliness: Family friendly with small snacks and treats for kids Parking: On street parking. Lynch St is your best option but can be very limited, particularly is visiting on weekdays where most spots are already taken from early morning.
I am not kidding when I say that is my favourite café in Hawthorn and is one of the few favourites around Melbourne. Simply I can not describe the incredible plates, amazing taste and wonderful atmosphere among the staff and with the customers. I can only highly recommend everybody to eat here and drink delicious coffee. It's a fantastic place to visit even if you have kids. Thank you so much for the warm welcoming and delicious food !! Looking forward to visiting Provence Bakery Cafe again!
A great cafe with a beautiful mezzanine fit out. Really nice outdoor seating too. More importantly the coffee is very good and the food is delicious. Super fresh wraps and sandwiches and a great artisan bakery selection. If you are in the area and need a coffee or a bite to eat I highly recommend.
Great little coffee joint in the heart of a business district. It’s quaint, it’s cozy, and they make delicious coffee. It’s busy here in the mornings, so don’t come if you’re in a rush, but trust me the wait is well worth it.
Best avocado on toast in Hawthorn with great poached egg and bacon. Love it ! And coffee is great too! My son loves the babycino ... OMG best cage/bakery in Hawthorn
