Service goes a long way in tourism and hospitality and the team at Sandcastles is right up there with the best I've experienced. We were made to feel very welcome. The accomodation is admittedly a bit dated, but that's not an issue at all. It has quaint seaside appeal. Everything works and it's great to have a kitchenette, big lounge balcony and laundry facilities. Our apartment had sea views. The location is perfect as it's slightly away from the very busy esplanade but with close access to everything you need. We came for the Ironman 70.3 and Sandcastles was great for this - a couple minutes away from transition and across the road from the surf club for roll down. Would stay again.

Located within walking distance to most things in the Mooloolaba area it is a great place to stay. Friendly, helpful staff greet you on arrival and sets the tone for your stay. The rooms are top class with all the amenities needed for your holiday. Beach views were spectacular especially from our rooftop BBQ area. Secure undercover parking was very welcome. The worst part was choosing where to eat, so many places to choose from. But that can be avoided by using the unit's fully equipped kitchen. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return again soon.
