I often visit this salvos and have watched the prices increase ridiculously high. I came in today to find a couch and I could not believe my eyes when I saw this couch for $145. I understand cost of running businesses are high but $145 for a couch this worn down… come on!
It’s all about profit now and as opp shops have become trendy the population that really needs to buy affordable items can’t even afford to shop in them anymore. I found the Burleigh store in Kortum Drive very overpriced on many items. I tried on a blouse and found it had a hole in the sleeve and stains on the front. I mentioned this to staff and they just stared at me as if to say so what! They are selling chipped and stained china, broken picture frames etc, at prices you could buy new at Kmart. Come on Salvo’s, you are supposed to be a Christian organisation so stop being so greedy!
Great Op Shop - staff are usually friendly and helpful, I always find something whether it's clothes, a record, book, vase, etc., prices are pretty reasonable. They also moved a few years ago from their previous location in another building on Kortum Drive and even expanded after a while at their new location, there used to be a uniform company next door but it is now a sorting area for Salvos.nHighly recommend Burleigh Salvos : It's also kinda close to some other Op Shops Lifeline at Treetops and James Street, also the op shops at 2 churches in burleigh so if you're going op shop hunting, Burleigh is probably the place to be !!
Another brilliant salvos op shop. This one is quite large and has heaps of great things. Haven't walked out of there empty handed ever. Lots of great clothing, shoes and accessories, kitchenware and knick-knacks, books, cds, DVDs, furniture, bedding, mattresses, children's toys, sporting goods and more. You name it they probably have it. Store is well organised, prices are great and the staff are friendly. Couldn't ask for more
They were selling very very fake pair of Gucci sneakers for $25. I let the lady at the counter know and she replied, oh well someone will buy them…
