My daughter commenced in year 7 this year and from the first day of school she has loved every minute. There are so many opportunities to be a part of this amazing college and the teachers are so wonderful and supportive. She has made so many friends that I am sure will last a lifetime and the education provided is outstanding. So in love with Sacred Heart Girls College

This school is a miserable place. I've never been to such an awful school where i felt unwelcomed and unwanted. I've gone through many phases growing up as a teenage girl, considering that this is a girl school i had thought i would have much more support through these phases but if anything studying here had made me feel miserable and hatred towards myself. I feel judged everyday but TEACHERS and students. I've tried going to get help within the school through some staff members to help ease all that goes on but the teachers had discussed my issues within each other as if what i had told my favourite teacher wasn't personal, i'd made it very very clear that i wanted my problems to stay between myself and my teacher but i was disappointed, i couldnt believe i couldnt trust a teacher. To go on i had asked my co-ordinator to assist and help me out, to tell you the truth she was alright but had ended up discouraging me in front of my classmates for not being able to do well knowing what was going on in my life. The experience here is nothing a young teenage girl who is growing up and trying her best should ever go through, save your daughters from going through unwanted sadness. I've spent 5 years in this school and i really wish my parents would have pulled me out sooner and taken me anywhere else. Fortunately sacred heart produces brilliant results which was the only reason my parents felt no motivation to take me out, for a school with an atmosphere filled with no support or help for us girls I have to say they certainly do really well in VCE. Surely there are plenty of other schools where you can feel supported and loved by teachers and classmates. Moving onto the girls here, they have nothing nice to say to me, the number of comments girls have made about my appearance, my academic results, my hair-do, the length of my skirt, all these are ridiculous things that are highly irrelevant. Of course these kind of girls you get in many if not all schools but in sacred heart thats how most of the girls are, at least in my year level. To sum it all up, not a school i would send my daughter to, growing up you dont need your daughter to lose her hopes and have her personal esteem lowered by the people you trust to keep your daughter safe and happy. High school is supposed to be a wonderful and unforgettable experience, the only thing i wont forget is all the despair, misery and regret i felt spending my teenage years here.

Honestly, this school is not good. Out of all the years I have been here, I have never felt supported. This school just thinks you are a statistic and a number, and that is it. Theres a teacher in leadership (Ms H......) who has made me extremely upset, and I have never ever ever met anyone who has made me feel as low and embarrased as she has, I do not appreciate the way she 'deals' with students. A lot of the teachers are unorganised and I feel like they are not fit to work with students. Overall I am very outraged and I feel so unsupported here.

As a student at Sacred Heart, the school is actually horrible. Sometimes the students but mostly the teachers and the principal, all the time. For example my friend wanted to sign up for the entrance exam for selective schools such as Nossal and Mac Robertson's. To sign up, participants needed to have their Victorian Student Number which was supposed to be in the school reports. However, the principal of the school, Mr Dalton, does not put the number in because I think he does not want the smart people leaving the school. So the students' parents have to call up the school and ask for the number but this leads to an interview with the principal. In the interview, he just dabbles on about how great the school is and tells the student if she sits the exam, she will not be guaranteed a spot in the following year. This is a true story that happened to my friend. This is outrageous because it is the student's OWN number and they should have it when asked. On the other hand, teachers of Sacred Heart are very unreasonable and are frequently late (about 30 mins) to classes. I had another friend once who was absent for one day and did not bring a note the next. The teacher yelled at my friend and said that is she did not have a note by Monday, she would receive a detention. Sacred Heart also is very behind in Maths which is the most important subject. Right now, we are learning about indices which is grade 5 math. Where as other schools are learning about way more advanced topics. Overall, Sacred Heart, Oakleigh like I said before, is a horrible school with an unreasonable team of teachers and the principal: I have no words to describe him. If any teachers of sacred Heart want to find out who I am (I'm in yr 9) and give detention or a lecture me, they will be going against their 2015 motto, "stand up, speak out" and what I am doing now, is speaking the truth and how I fell about Sacred Heart Oakleigh.
