Oakleigh Grammar is one of the best schools in Melbourne. Their teachers, coordinators, and staffs are very supportive for the students and they always keep the parents’ posted about the children’s well-being at school. I have seen that the school’s staffs always provide support academically, mentally and physically to the students to ensure that the students are progressing well and ready before university.
Other kids are not at all raised well. If your child isn't Asian, Indian or Greek don't be surprised when your kid is mistreated there. My child has told me the teachers can be quite mean too. Waste of money and time. I do not recommend this school for your child unless they're Greek and know other kids here. The school is tiny, school admin can surely afford to add better campus structure. Teachers do not pay well attention to their students.
Our son attends ELC at OG, we are so happy! & most importantly he is! Mrs Manaras & Mrs Chen truly go above & beyond for their students. Our son feels valued, safe & what he says matters. They have taught him to be resilient & through play he has learnt skills to prepare him for prep next at the junior school. The transition process is so smooth, practical & catered for each individual child. He is so excited to start “big school” & Melissa & Jacinta have equipped him with the skills to have a successful start.
One year ago on the 26th of August 2023, we landed in Melbourne from NZ with only five suitcases to our name, nervous and excited for the next chapter! We were leaping into the unknown, but knew we had to give the Arrowsmith Program a 'shot' for our son, and we have no regrets!nnWe feel grateful and blessed with where this journey has taken us so far, and we can't thank Wayne and the Arrowsmith teachers enough for the care and support shown to Charlie and us as a family.nnWe are extremely proud of what Charlie has achieved over the past 12 months including an uplift in his confidence, and we are excited to see Charlie's progress in another 12 months and beyond.nnThe Bernstein Family
Parents of current students be aware.nnTim Grandy Oakleigh Grammar's Business Manager secretly records phone calls with parents.nnTo cut a long story short. We had a disagreement regarding our account with the school. Instead of showing empathy to the situation Tim decided to talk over me. When i requested to speak to Mark Robinson the schools principle regarding the matter Tim denied my request. Words were exchanged and then I hanged up.nnTim later followed up with an email stating he was secretly recording our conversation and making threats that i needed to apologies or he was going to the police, because his feelings were hurt.nnFirstly no threats of violence were made. Secondly from a business persective no one under law can record a conversation without the consent of the other party, especially on a privately owned device.nnTim also further harrassed me with further emails trying to justify secretly recording me, when i pointed out he cannot legally record me without my consent.nnAfter this ordeal i contacted the school to speak to Mark Robinson. He wasn't able to take the call, so i ended up speaking to his PA Tania Waston. To be fair she did show empathy and did apologise and agreed Tim's behaviour was abhorrent. Even though Tim stated he recorded the call Tania stated no call was recorded. I asked did anyone check Tim's phone and she answered NO,nnMy question how do I know he isnt lying?nnUnfortunately Tania also denied my request to speak to Mark and now he is on leave till the start of term 3.nnAfter speaking to Tania i sent her an email stating that a payment would be made even though i feel the amount isn't owed due to mistskes being done by the school once i recieve an apology from Tim either by phone or in writing.nnAfew days have gone past since i wrote the email as i didn't recieve a response, i decided to call the school and speak to Tania again and Tania refused my request for an apology from Tim even though Tania acknowledges Tim's behaviour was in the wrong.nnThe question here is who else is this creep secretly recording and why does Oakleigh Grammar condone Tim's behaviour.
