It’s a very noisy park during the day with traffic and trams. I enjoyed the garden but half of the park was cordoned off for “Shakespeare in the Park” so it was hard to walk on the paths. I can’t walk on uneven ground so I didn’t want to walk on the grass so had to backtrack.nThe toilets are really dingy and unhygienic.nBeautiful trees and flowers it’s just a shame it’s not a peaceful park.nIt seemed overrun with Lycra clad fitness groups doing yoga/weights and didn’t feel like a relaxing place to be.
This park is a local slice of heaven. It’s beautifully maintained with annual floral displays and stunning trees. There is a heritage glass house with an orchid display and a beautiful sunken fountain. The local council put incredible events on here too, concerts and carols and light shows. It’s a significant feature of the area and also surrounded by amazing restaurants and coffee shops. Love it!
Central Park is a nice peaceful park in the City of Stonnington local council. The park is a good meeting place to see other people and walk laps of. It has beautiful gardens and overall is beautiful park which if you want to/can, should go and visit.
Central park is a lovely green space to spend time in. Just won't let my dog off leash on the oval in case she runs on the road. Something for everyone. However the new playground doesn't offer much for children of all ages once they have looked in the boxes once they will lose interest. Where are the saw saws and other equipment kids play on?. Seems like a bit of a waste of taxpayers money. Looks nice but not a lot to entertain children.nnPersonally I don't have children but I have a dog and would be happier if the oval was fenced in as one of my previous pups ran off the oval and was hit by a car on Wattletree road. It was very traumatic and expensive to have her fixed.nnPlenty of areas for a picnic.nnThey need more gardeners. Apparently there is only one. A bit hard to maintain a whole park with such little staff.
GLOW WINTER ARTS FESTIVAL what a great event the city of Stonnington put on - such lovely displays and great vibes all around on a cold winter’s night! Highly recommend for all parents and kids. Although parking was a little difficult to obtain, it was certainly worth it - it is definitely reminiscent of seeing Christmas lights in the northern hemisphere
