I really do like the concept of this middle eastern cousine, however I don’t think what I ordered was right amount. chicken shawarma bowl $ 15.90 included cabbage slaw, pita bread , chickpea, and side of tahini and around approximately of 100 gram of sliced chicken thigh no more than 125 gram, top! Ratio of salad and protein wasn’t right in my opinion. I was comparing with their own menu “ build up your own bowl” concept, for extra $2, you can have 1 protein of your choice, accompanied with 2 side salad from the cold display window fridge, which is more interesting-rather than cabbage salad and pickle. I’m giving the benefit of the doubt this time, I’ll try again build up your own bowl concept next order.
Group of 5 got takeaway from here whilst working in the area. I had the South American Chicken shish pita and it was delicious, the rest of the group had a pita pocket each and described them as nice and something different. The coffee is All Press which is a nice bean. Would happily eat here again.
We had a catering order for a dinner party of 15. We had a mix of chicken, lamb, falafal, dips pita, salads and vine leaves. Everybody loved the food which was delicious. I think our only problem was that there were not enough pickles included as they ran out before everyone could get some. We highly recommend Sababa for their catering and will definitely order their food again and we will remember to get more pickles.
Here in Google maps say that they sell Kebabs but is not, they don’t sell kebabs. So if you are looking for a kebab try to find another place. I can’t say anything about the service o the food because I din’t try it, but it looks nice!! Maybe next time I’ll try it
Pita pocket was too dry, lacking enough sauce. Also ordered a coke in my Uber order which was not delivered/provided/forgotten...Wasn't happy...
I had a really delicious Algerian lamb shish pita.. so much flavour and an easy option for a quick healthy lunch
Have gotten Uber Eats from here a few times. The Super Plate is always very good, just comes a little cold. Not necessarily the restaurant's fault I suppose.
I was craving a pita with falafel and all the extras whilst on a road trip, and the minute I found myself near Bondi Junction I sped to this shop. Coming from the land where pita+falafel+veggies+tahini is a staple food, I was greeted with a beautiful falafel pita! It was so delicious I gobbled it up in two minutes. It’s not easy to find this type of pita sandwiches in Sydney, so this was great. The only thing that would be better would be the staff. But the food was delish! Thank you - toda
Lamb kofta and beef sish plates very generous sized however meat a little chewy and dry. Otherwise it was a decent meal. Ask to try the chili sauce, it's different and pretty heaty.
Great to find another Sabbaba here - the food is clean, tasty and affordable; it's wonderful as "fast food". I hope they do open more outlets, starting with the city at least.
