A lovely little shop with lots of beautiful wools. Thank you Emma lovely to meet you and thank you for all the help and advice gave me. Can't put down my knitting I bought from you and started on our journey home. Highly recommend this knitters paradise and Emma such a lovely helpful person. So friendly
Based on previous comments, I can only assume that this business has changed ownership. I went there recently with my wife who wished to purchase some wool. A rather overweight lady behind the counter was completely rude, unhelpful and treated my wife with complete disdain. Notwithstanding the saracastic comments, she appeared either incapable or unwilling to advise on which wool would be best suited for a specific project my wife had planned. We both left the shop and burst out laughing, incredulous at what had just happened. A great shame and disappointment given we both firmly believe in supporting local businesses, specifically quaint little shops like this which typically, provide some character and interest to high streets around the UK. Perhaps just a 'bad day' on the owner/shop assistant's part but PLEASE treat your clients with respect and make us feel valued!
Really lovely shop, Upstairs is some really nice and some unusual gifts. If you needed to buy something for someone difficult this place gives you different fun ideas. Downstairs has all the sewing and crochet essentials you could possibly need from patterns and wool to easy all in one starter packs. I spent about an hour in the shop, I told the lady behind the desk about what I wanted to do and she came around the shop and helped me with some honest advice, telling me if something I had picked was particularly difficult or not. Thank you rose garden crafts, I will be back!!
Adore this shop - wool shops are gradually disappearing in our towns let’s make sure we visit them so they stay. Really helpful young lady always got time to help you out - lots of patterns wools buttons etc - oh the dog is gorgeous too :
