Update…. The Autumn menu is out, the results are brilliant, as always the food is irresistible and the team are not only helpful but engaging and genuinely lovely people who share a passion for what they do. Thanks team for another great evening with friends.nnHands down best restaurant in the area. Food is always fresh and absolutely delicious. Hats off to the chefs and whole kitchen team. Frank and his team run the front house beautifully. Warm, welcoming, chats to everyone, makes you feel at home. And team behind the bar make the best cocktails Italian Juice is my favourite. Steak and seafood is always great - lobster taco for entree always a go to. Special pasta I had last time - bugs in a light tomato sauce - best pasta I’ve ever eaten! Do yourself a favour and try this, you’ll soon find yourself regular!
I have been wanting to eat here for a while and tonight it fell into place. We tried quite a few of the smaller plates and no mains. The presentation of each dish is pretty. The flavours just weren't my palette. The beef tartare was extremely salty and I love salt but for me it was too much. The lobster taco was delicate but for me a bit bland. The scallops I enjoyed. The beetroot ravioli was nice. The bresaola was really good but the bread wasn't great. Olives were excellent. Salad just ok. It was packed and people really like it here. For me I prob would not be a regular here. But I would recommend I think most people would really enjoy it. The service was excellent.
Came here the second time and it was just as good as our first. The service was excellent, Cerys was attentive and looked after us well. The quality of food was good and the portion size was just right. The experience was very enjoyable and we will definitely be back.
This was a fantastic experience. Despite a cold winter Monday night, the place was vibrant, warm and friendly. The staff were exceptional, with true interest in their customers and the waiter bought the meals alive. I had a gorgeous anchovies starter with a Gnocchi with Moreton Bay bugs as a main which I loved. A beautiful Sicilian white wine blended perfectly.
One of the poorest birthday celebrations I've had.nnOn Monday night, called ahead to see if there would be space for 2 people. Upon arrival, the man advised us that a table would be ready in 5min, and suggested we grab drinks while we wait. All quite standard so far.nn70 MINUTES LATER we were seated further inside the restaurant. During that wait, we had 1 drink each as pictured, had to ask for the food menu, had some oysters, and watched 3 front of house staff avoid our eye contact.nnWhen we were properly seated, our food came out before our water did... the octopus skewers were lovely, but the steak tartare was dry and lacked the egg yolk as a binding agent. We left some uneaten. By the time we were told the specials, it was because the kitchen was asking for last orders. They were unsurpsingly out of the whole flounder.nnLucia Melbourne was amazing and had recommended that we try out the OG Riserva. The Google reviews also looked promising. But this was a complete and utter disappointment.nn2 stars rather than 1 because Ruinart Blanc de Blancs was available by the glass, the octopus skewers were tasty, and our food orders came out quickly once they were placed.
