A very good selection of beer and cider is to be had here. The food menu has a good variety we tried the vegetarian gnocchi and gnocchi carbonara- both 5/5. There's plenty of seating, and the service was excellent. Give this pub a go!
Very tasty parma with thick cut chips. Kids menu was also great, my boys enjoyed the fish and chips. Wife enjoyed the calamari dish. Will come again when back in Bendigo
Actually blown away. Totally different from my experience a few years ago. Selection of meals was superb, service was friendly and professional. The meals for our large group arrived timely and hot. The only minor quibble is the large room we were in was an echo chamber so conversation was not easy. Maybe a few wall hangings to suppress the echoes. A friend had an open souvlaki and the lamb was a well cooked backstrap! We will come back for sure. Again, totally pleasantly pleased
It was ok, service was prompt, the vibe was busy but then might be Ive got used to been in lockdown , if anything this is why my 4 star rating I expected my wife's mocktail served in a nicer glass and not just in a common pub glass with no catching eye detail other than that keep the good work up
Reasonably Priced, Juicy Meats and Fast Service. Chips are crispy and not oily, the wedges are generously sized, which is excellent for sharing! Bottle Shop inside, highly recommend bringing the locally made alcoholic ginger beer, home!
Excellent, professional service and a diverse Menue made this an amazing experience. Realy good choices in the food and drink Menue were enjoyable.

Visited Bendigo a couple of weekends ago and went to the Rifle for dinner, I can honestly say, these guys cooked up one of the best steaks I think I’d ever had in my life I know my steaks too. Steak was cooked absolutely perfectly the whole way through, nice and thick, came out hot too with a beautiful red wine glaze. I’ll be coming back just for that steak I reckon. Also one of the wait staff found us a table on a Saturday night for us and our 2 young kids. If I could give 6 stars I would.

Can't speak highly enough about this hotel. On our first visit with our dogs, it was raining. The verandah at the front of the hotel didn't provide enough shelter for us to sit and have lunch. The wonderful man working in the bistro bar opened the side gate so that we could sit with our dogs in a sheltered part of the court yard. We stayed nice and dry and enjoyed a lovely lunch. Would highly recommend paying this hotel a visit.
