When I googled "best coffee Bendigo", this place came up. Welcoming, friendly, cosy. Coffee 4/5, food taste 5/5, food price 4/5. Definitely recommend!
Found this place while exploring Bendigo. The coffee and food are excellent. Had their breakfast special which is great value. My wife had scrambled eggs which she said were quite creamy and I had the poached which were cooked to perfection. The portions were generous and the service prompt and friendly. Would recommend.
Great coffee yummy cakes, lovely staff. Some places can be quite noisy, which makes it hard to have a conversation or just sit and relax. So it was so refreshing to sit and peacefully enjoy our coffee and cake. If I were a local, this would be my regular coffee place.
With new management this cafe has gone up a notch. Moderately good coffee and generous size meal portions. It's right in the centre of town with a quiet back area plus outdoor seating galore on the footpath. Staff are friendly and responsive.
Great service, food was nothing to rave about, the place could have been cleaner. The coffee was not the greatest. The black board had penne pasta then when i ordered it they said they didn’t have any. So then i had the gnocchi which was store bought and rubber.
Finders keepers has good coffee, a pretty cosy atmosphere, good breakfast and lunch options and is reasonably priced. The cafe will often be quieter than some of the other cafes in the precinct, which can be good if you're looking for something quieter. There is an upstairs area for larger/catered bookings. Overall a nice quiet spot through the week and pretty cruisy on the weekends.
Based on the menu we ordered from, our breakfast should have been under $35. My husband ordered 1 extra bacon rasher and a serve of sausages to add to his breakfast. When I went to pay it was $49!! I had been charged $4 for the 1 piece of bacon, $4 for 2 chipolate sausages, $3 because our eggs were poached not fried, and a public holiday surcharge of $4 no objections to the PH surcharge. Although we were told about the PH surcharge and the menu noted extra charge for poached egg, we were quite taken aback by the final bill. Especially since the food was so poorly cooked it made the bread soggy. I won't even comment on the excessive wait time despite few customers! The coffee was quite nice but that is the only positive.
Coffee was average. Service was terrible, got our breakfast 3 out of 4 eggs had to get sent back. Waited another 20mins still no food. Left without breakfast. Wouldn’t recommend.
This is a top little cafe on the well trodden pilgrim route from Bendigo Station to the Bendigo Art Gallery but what really sets this place apart is the upstairs balcony. The staff may give you a pained look when you tell them that you want to sit up top as it makes their job just a little harder but it is well worth it. Sit back and admire the view, watch the world pass by down below and enjoy the good food and coffee. The Chilli Eggs were a hit with us!
Was spoken to in a very rude manner today by whom I assume was the owner. We were originally seeking take away coffees then noting a couple of vacated but not yet cleared tables, we considered sitting in ... only to be refused service. We were advised in a very curt tone that ‘we are full ladies’ and then ignored. We were made to feel very unwelcome and belittled as other patrons were within earshot. DO NOT RECOMMEND
