Our family had a caravan at Resthaven for many years. We planned a reunion for Mum and went online in early January to book a 2 bedroom cabin with ensuite. Booking accepted but after a week, didn't get any confirmation so called Resthaven. The Owner said, yes I saw your booking, but have been busy! He indicated he would confirm asap. Ultimately confirmed a booking ES06. About the same time, my sister booked 2 cabins for the rest of the family reunion. Same problem with online booking and no response from Resthaven. Again she followed up with a call and was told her booking was in the system and ok. There we're at least 3 phone conversations with Resthaven about the booking and confirmation the booking was ok. Today, just thought I'd clarify bedding and was informed I had a camping site with ensuite. This is certainly NOT what I requested and clear mentioned we wantef a 2 bedroom cabin. I thought ok, I'll check my sister's booking, perhaps we can squeeze Mum and another sister in one of her 2 cabins. Resthaven then indicated they had NO booking for her. A number of family members all heard the discussion and can confirm what was actually booked. So now no family reunion. Be very clear with any booking you make at Resthaven. The owner didn't care and was very blasaie. Resthaven is a lovely Park, there have been many owners over the years, it's a pity the current caretakers are not as organised and professional as previous ones!
