Jack Daniel's marinated steak is always a winner.
I had the 300g sirloin this week. One of the best steaks I've had in a very long time.
Beef cheeks, lamb shanks, pumpkin & fetta linguine. All excellent.

My wife and I visit Hobart once or twice a year and always make a point of dining at The Republic Bar .The food in the past has been brilliant. However we dined there twice last week with friends and were most disappointed. They must have had a change of chef as the previously remarkably good food quality had become ordinary ,poorly prepared and in one case inedible.We hope it improves as we love the place .

Really good food! Great flavor and good service! 5 out of 5! Best steak i have had in a while.

A lovely pub where the locals hangout. Live music every night and the atmosphere is very friendly. Highly recommended.
