I attended a conference at the Rendezvous Hotel in Scarborough and was impressed with the overall experience. The event was held in the grand ballroom, which was well set up and professionally managed. Staff were very friendly and helpful throughout the day.nnThe conference room was well-stocked with water, glasses, and pens, and the sound system worked perfectly—clear and reliable. The toilets were also exceptionally clean, which is always appreciated at a full-day event.nnIn the afternoon, we were treated to live music by Tod, an amazing local artist who added a vibrant and relaxed atmosphere to the venue. I ordered a burger from the bar and was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was—great quality and flavour.nnThe bar staff were also fantastic—quick, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Overall, a great venue for both work and relaxation. Highly recommend for events or even just a casual visit by the beach.

I came across your property while searching for a place to stay, but after reading several recent reviews, I have serious concerns.nnFirstly, when exactly will the renovations end?nIt’s unacceptable for ongoing works to affect guests without proper notice.nThis should be clearly communicated before booking.nnSecondly, for the price point you’re charging, it’s shocking that parking isn’t even included. That honestly feels like daylight robbery.nCleanliness issues including mould, grout, and bad odour are also being repeatedly mentioned.nnThis raises questions on whether any of the feedback is actually being taken seriously, since there have been responses/replies of apologies but were there any action taken? Or simply just typed words for the sake of doing your job to respond online only?!!nnI hope you can address these matters honestly and with urgency. I’m deciding whether to proceed with my booking based on your response.
I recently attended booked a weekend function at Rendezvous Hotel and the front entrance was closed off due to building constructions. When I tried to enter from the back the elevator was “not in use” and the escalator upwards to the function was not working. As I was in a wheelchair I had to leave my wheelchair behind and crawl up the stairs and when reception gave me a wheelchair to use at the function they came and took it off me so I then could not go to the toilet. It was horrifying. I could not attend two night events due to the lack of access and I wrote to them and they did not offer any confirmation that the lift or escalator was getting fixed so other disabled people could use the venue. There was no recompense for the stress and humiliation I went through as a disabled person over that weekend. It was the most horrific experience. I do not recommend this hotel at all. The staff don’t care for the people and the hotel is in disrepair. The room we were on had curtains falling down as well. I can’t imagine what the rooms must be like! Enter at your own risk!
Three weeks ago, we stayed at Rendezvous, and unfortunately, their system was down—or possibly hacked—during check-in. Despite the challenges, the staff did their best to accommodate all guests. We had to wait a few hours before getting into our rooms, but they offered complimentary drinks, which was a thoughtful gesture.nnOnce we finally got our rooms, they were clean and serviced daily, we also had a wonderful view of the beach! One improvement that would enhance the stay is better bathroom ventilation, as an exhaust fan would help with moisture. While I hope they also improve their backup plan for handling system issues in the future, overall, it was a pleasant stay.
