They accidentally stuffed up my drive thru order but the manager was so apologetic and replaced what was missing without hesitation with a little extra for good measure There's nothing worse than getting home and realising your order is wrong. We are only human so it's easy done, I appreciate the way it was handled. The meal itself was hot, fresh and tasty:
Went through the drive through and ordered the Rooster Feed..... Friendly and efficient customer service Chicken, nuggets, crispy potatoes and chips were hot, fresh, cooked and seasoned beautifully. Tasty mash and gravy and swapped out the corn wheels with peas. Affordable prices, quick service, highly recommend Food: 4/5
Absolutely appalling. Most disgusting store I’ve ever been too. They have no lettuce for their burgers, no salt for chips and no cutlery to eat 1/4 chicken and chips with. Manager down right rude and said you’ll have to use your hands to eat! $45 spend on inedible food! You don’t even deserve 1 star!
We dined in, thought to give them a shot. When ordering, the manager was cold and was most definitely not welcoming. I understand working in a fast food restaurant you need to be quick and the stress level is high. However, when you have no customers, make that extra time to chat to them! He put through on the register what we wanted; by the time we could process payment, he had already turned his back and walked away. We waited about 10-15 minutes for 2 snack packs, we got our food slammed on the bench. We sat down and started to eat, I was watching them in the kitchen, talking about a lot of personal matters, they were on their phone and walking around with drink in their hands. None of the girls were wearing hairnets, this is a massive issue when working around food, as I’m sure everyone knows! Our chips were cold, with no salt. The bread was cold and stale. Lettuce was brown. And the chicken was undercooked, it was rubbery and gross. Will not be coming back again. I’m surprised it’s still open.
Having managed a Red Rooster restaurant in the past myself, I was quite surprised to be informed there was a 25 minutes of waiting time for fried chicken, only after they had taken the order. Now, on a hot day, waiting 25-30 minutes in the car for an item does not leave a pleasant taste and clearly indicates mismanagement. Finally, when we received the order, thecroast chiken was dry and overcooked and chips were soggy; we were told " it is within the allocated timeline and we can wait another 30 minutes for fresh ones". Staff should be aware of what items are not available and managers should take the odd chance of renewing their items, after all, this is fast food shop. Shame not sure how to upload photos of what we were served.
The food and the service were both spot on. I parked and went inside instead of the drive-thru to use the toilets as well. All clean and well run. Parking: Park anywhere. Wheelchair accessibility: Fine
We went drive thru and requested roasted chicken instead of pieces in the chicken burger. Even after a staff member confirmed the request at the pick up window, we still got chicken pieces in the burger. We couldn't take it back because we were travellingFood: 3/5
Pretty grotty outside going through the drive through, needs a landscape., There's a nice tree , and room for a couple of outdoor benches . Perfect for the nearby workers on a sunny day. The speaker is a bit hard to hear especially with the busy traffic noise coming from Latrobe terrace. The girl serving was friendly and efficient. It is a shame that a few hours later l was on the loo with a bucket between my legs, being the only thing besides a coffee that l had eaten all day , l can safely assume that l got a dud price of chicken.
I love doing drive thru here. My fav is reg chips and reg chicken pops. Drive round the corner, Open the bag, remove the serviettes, tip the boxes into the bag... It then becomes a lucky dip of "pop or chip or pop AND chip" and frankly I am all for pop and chip. I do this sitting in my car down at the nearby Ballyang Sanctuary watching the birds or down by the river, just enjoying people walk, ride, boat or row. It's nice. Other Red Roosters may provide the same food they mostly do and the same service sometimes yes, sometimes no. BTW it's the only яR that has heaps of cars in the car park. Go figure.
Cold dry chips with no taste and my chicken roll was very ordinary, the bread roll was definitely not fresh and I ended up throwing it out. The drive through was over grown with rubbish scattered around. I won’t be returning.
