Sam's Cafe Geelong

Today I tried my first lamb shawarma. I am more familiar with kebabs, which is what I compared it to. It is a little bit different to a kebab and may be superior. The meat was much better quality than what you get in a kebab and the vegetables were crispy, instead of soggy. The spices were vibrant and the garlic sauce was punchy without making the bread soggy. I loved it. If you're going for tasty fast food, this may be one of the healthier options.

One of Geelong’s best kept foodie secrets! This is like walking through a time vortex into the 1980’s - in the best possible sense! The food is fantastic and the staff are always friendly. Now if only they were open at night! One of Geelong’s best lunch time spots!

When I lived in Geelong over 10 years ago I used to frequent Sam's Cafe on a regular basis for their amazing Shawarma's. My husband and I recently moved back to Geelong and I was very excited to see that Sam's Cafe was still in business, with George at the helm. My first Shawama after 10 years was just as I remembered them - delicious. No kebab comes close. Looking forward to another Shawarma this weekend. Thank you George for never straying from the recipe and quality. Like they say, "when it's not broke, don't fix it".

10/10 Cafe. I come here weekly, sometimes more and I am never disappointed. Food is fresh, hot, not greasy, and cooked to perfection every single time. Staff are extremely friendly and always have a smile on their face. Best Cafe in all of Geelong by far!

Quality takeaway, great place for a fresh tasty lunch. edit - Had another Shawarma for lunch today, man these things never disappoint. Perfect ratio of meat, salad, sauce and bread, not greasy, great flavour. No surprise the place is so popular.

I can describe this Cafe in 2 words Z SO DELICIOUS Sam and the staff are also really nice Parking: It's hard to find parking, but it's okay because I understand that it's in the m8ddle of Geelong. And heaps of people want sharwarma

I truly cannot give a higher review to anywhere but Sam’s Cafe. This little gem of a place has been a cafe of love and comfort for more than a decade for me, giving vibes of love, family and delicious food. Please, if you are ever in the area, bless yourself with a meal at Sam’s. My personal go to: a chicken salad roll, no onion, no pepper with a side of chips, extra salt and a potato cake Thankyou for being a place that reminds me of home.

Shawerma is good, falafel is very tasty and the staff and the owner are very welcoming and friendly, I liked it.

My gosh I only found Sam's cafe and his famous shawama's not too long ago, but addicted is understating how much I love them and their wonderful food. They are the tastiest, mouth watering shawamas i have ever had. Their crinkle cut chips are so scrumptious I cant go past them either. The owners and staff are bloody wonderful to put it mildly, their customer service skills are exceptional. My only shawama go to now....LOVE EM....

Yummy chips and falafel and the service wasn’t bad.
