This was our destination for our honeymoon many years ago. The temperature was a hot, the sky's were blue and the views were spectacular. While inside it was cool and very comfortable. Above your bed was a skylight allowing you to see the night sky (kind of). The veranda faces the gully allowing you to watch the sunset. The is a modern kitchen and a BBQ to cook or you can go to the local restaurant at the station. Highly recommended if you want to get away but still have the luxury.

Awesome experience. After visiting wilpena pound in the day time it is such a beautiful feeling to be sitting outside of the ranges and looking in. The sunsets are amazing! Great campsite, awesome showers and toilets. We stayed on easter weekend and i hardly had to wait for anything. The kitchen is great too. The shop has everything you need at very good prices. The staff are all so helpful and made our trip! This is a must see when visiting the outback or Australia. And this campgrounds is the best way to do it!

Amenities are great. Fantastic views of Wilpena. Heaps to do. Food at the Woolshed restaurant is excellent although a little pricey (not surprised considering where we are). Not much of a playground for the kids but bring bikes. There are heaps of trails.

Hot showers and f.lushing toilets. Shady camp sites. Not real bush camping diesel available reasonably priced. Small supermarket, ice, power, water, and a very good restaurant.

Woolshed Restaurant a highlight of our visit - friendly, helpful Staff & fabulous food for our large group!
