Chosen warehou today as I like it's low fat, medium texture white fibrous flesh - almost like chicken, crumbed and fried to perfection. The "Real" paua meat fritter and chips were crunchy and tasty tol. Not even soggy after 10min trip to nearby Raumati beach. Parking: Plenty of street park.
Really dissatisfied wrong order again , really rude staff and no consideration for the kids wanting to have fish chips in a packet at the beach ! Its really easy to provide good customer service and good fish n chip . Looks like it’s back to McLean street fish supply where the service is outstanding Kid-friendliness: Not kids friendly packaging
Friendly helpful staff. Just took away chic fried rice. Really yum, had a slight thai fragrance to it and big juicy chunks of chicken! Thumbs upFood: 4/5
Popular on this sunny evening between Christmas & NYE. My chicken Pad Thai was flavoursome, delicious & served really fast. Will try the tofu option next time I’m up here.
Overcooked, very vinegary pad thai for $17. Three stars only because service was good and cooked really fast. Our Pad Thai was nearly ruined by the sauce. Too sweet and extremely vinegary taste. The noodles glued together not a surprise given tons of vinegar in it. To me, the sauce tasted more like asian sesame salad dressing rather then pad thai sauce. The chicken was overcooked and dry. The few toppings were sprouts, green onion, chili paste and nuts. For the same price, you can get heavenly cooked very authentic pad thai with plenty of everything from one of the eateries on Cuba street. Unfortunately Cuba Street is too far away for a quick lunch on week days. Hope, the owner of RST keeps an ear open to what customers say.
We’ve found this to be the most consistent fish and chip shop around the region. The chips normally have crunch, the fish is prepared well and always experienced very friendly service. We’ve also tried the Thai which was pretty good also. Thanks!
It was sad for me to see my local fish n chip place do so badly . We called in at 7.45 at night for a Hawaiian hamburger and cheese burger at the end of the evenings The burgers were literally thrown together… unfortunately very un appetisingly . I realised it was when they were about to close , but I expected slightly better. If they were average I would of let it be under the circumstances, but I was so appalled couldn’t even eat my burger. Such a shame . I wanted to be giving a rave review, but sadly that’s not the case
Great fish and chips which we get here regularly enough. But tonight decided to branch out and ordered the Pad Thai. That was simply amazing and not shy on the meat either. The shop does not look like much from the outside but the food is excellent. Large portion of chips too.
I'd like to make that 4.5 stars . Friendly service , good variety of takeaways , and close to other amenities and the beach . Small takeaway only , with probably the best chips you can get , fish is ok , burgers ok ,but didn't try their Thai meals . Worth a visit if your in the area.
Southend has consistently lovely food. They always give really generous portions and their chips are the absolute best. I love the vegetables in their tasty curries. I highly recommend them
