A memorable day never to be forgotten! The guides are absolutely hilarious, kind and informative and needless to say professionals at their job! Enjoyed every moment of the day. They stated be at the terminal at 8am, yet for a 9am boat sailing, which entailed a wasted hour (better spent in bed). On the way back, similarly, they said you had to board the boat at 3:30 sharp, for a 4pm sailing - this was also pointless and meant an annoying hot wait on the jetty for the half hour- not what you want after a long, hot day at the beach. Also, shoddy equipment- my snorkel mouthpiece leaked, so I mentioned this and got a replacement, which also leaked. They didn't seem to care, and chucked both faulty bits of kit back in the mix for someone else to use. I did the kayak tour, which was nice, but hardworking in the wind. Be aware, snorkelling is weather and wave choppiness dependent. Didn't get to go snorkelling as the swell was too much, hence the water muddy. Later on though, the water cleared a bit, and the snorkeling was ok by the main Fitzroy island pontoon. Lots of large fish near the beach, it would've been great with clear water and a working snorkel.

The WORST company out there, go with Cairns Adventure Group- Foaming Fury instead. Raging Thunder are a super misleading group of people and we are highly disappointed! They cancelled our Tully rafting and were offered the Barron on that phone at 7:30PM. We asked how long we have to call and make the booking and Amanda on the phone said we had till 9PM. Shortly after 8PM we were with our agent and we called her and she said the system is locked and she can’t book anymore BUT she can see spots available. So, she told us that we just need to call at 6AM to book and we are guaranteed a spot. Little did we know - online booking was actually open for everyone and the spots filled up. The person on the phone in the morning showed no empathy and we ruined and wasted our last day in Cairns because of incompetent employees. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS! Foaming Fury were empathetic and accommodated us last minute.

I bought the whole package online and was quite confused as to how to get all the activities I wanted. Thankfully, Amanda from Raging Thunder was really helpful and I booked everything directly through email. In total, we did skydive, canyon, rafting & Kayak and Snorkel tour at Fitzroy Island! Everything is very convenient because they provide transfers that come directly to our accomodation. The staff and guides were all so enthusiastic and helpful, it was difficult not to enjoy ourselves! They work great as a team and it was nice to see the same familiar faces at the different activities :).

My girlfriend and i did the extreme white water rafting and we highly recommend paying the full amount for this specific tour. The bus drive there was a great laugh and the tour guide didn't shy away from some non politically correct jokes which i respect in this day and age. The rafting was such an awesome experience, the scenery was mind blowing and the group we were partnered with were genuine people from all corners of the globe. For the first time in my life i've done a legitimate tour where there was a real sense of danger. Of course their safety procedures were fine tuned to the point from years of experience where you felt like there was a safety net in most situations. Our guide Leon was hilarious and really topped off the day.
