Previously had a ST1100 Honda mono-shock rebuilt and now a pair of Yamaha Virago shocks rebuilt, excellent service.

I was excited to get my rear shocks repaired at a recommended local business in Brisbane. However, RAD Motorcycle repair failed to deliver. After waiting almost a year with no progress updates, I called and said I was retrieving my shocks and going elsewhere. They were returned as disassembled parts, with little work done, yet I was still charged a full fee.  Avoid RAD Motorcycle repair, youll see his workshop is a mess.

I'm a big bloke and when I loaded my CRF250 up for a Gulf trip I realised my suspension wasn't up to the task.  Rod was recommended as the go to guy and I took the bike to him so he could see how hard it was working.  I honestly intended to give the job to him when I returned from the trip as I was leaving in a week. He looked at it and proposed a solution within 5 minutes. He reckoned he'd have it done by the end of the week. I went home, removed the shock and returned it to him. Sure enough it was done by Saturday morning.  The job was perfect. Just by watching me get on/off the bike He was able to create a shock that matched my weight and load.  The bike handles like a dream now, loaded and unloaded. The guy's a genius, and a top bloke as well. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Rod has rebuilt 2 of my Suzuki Rgv 250 rear shocks as I am on my second restoration, he has built to new condition. My Rgv handles fantastic cannot be any happier. Thanks Rod

Without a doubt Rod knows his stuff and his service is second to none. The work he does refurbishing shocks to almost new is incredible. I am not surprised that he has so many positive comments. Well done Rod keep up your excellent work.

I am a rider of many years and been tinkering and rebuilding bikes for ages. Suspensions are obviously one area you need a lot of experience and know-how, specialist tools etc etc. I was given the bum-steer by other shock repairers in Sydney, none who took a moment to spare to try and help me diagnose issue I was having with a rear TRX850 shock absorber. After a 5 minute chat and some instruction from Rodney, I was able to fix my problem where everyone else just wanted to have the shock in and torn apart. AKA gimme your money. Rodney knew exactly what to look for without even seeing the shock. I have to recommend this fine gentleman, and hope anyone reading this has the sense to treat this man with the respect he deserves and go to RAD when they need shock work done. Your a genius, a gentleman and a scholar sir! Thank you again If you're ever down Sydney, night out on the beers on me Rodney. That's a promise.

Rodney at RAD Shocky Repairs is a master.  I have taken a number of rebuilds and modifications to him and he is always obliging and friendly with competitive prices with excellent services.  Highly recommended

Superb service and skills that are not common these days. Excellent work on my BMW front shock.
