This is the Official page of The Queensland Maritime Museum.
The Queensland Maritime Museum is situated at South Bank Parklands and within walking distance from the South Bank railway station. It is also accessible by walking from the Brisbane CBD using the Goodwill Bridge.
The Queensland Maritime Museum was founded in 1971 and is staffed by volunteers and a Chief Executive Officer and an Operations Supervisor. It has an extensive collection of historical maritime artefacts, including books, documents and photographs. The collection is displayed in the galleries and in the grounds adjacent to the heritage listed South Brisbane Dry Dock.
Under the broad headings of Navigation, Lighthouses, Ship Models, Marine Engines and Vessels our exhibits will invoke awe and wonder.
See Ella's Pink Lady, Carpentaria, HMAS Diamantina, Bulwar Lighthouse, Coal Fired Steamtug Forceful, our boat shed, fully restored Pump Station, the Dry Dock and many more wonderful exhibits.

*Family: $38 (2 adults and 3 children under 15)
On behalf of members of the public the Queensland Maritime Museum carries out research on all aspects of Queensland's and Australia's maritime history as well as on maritime matters generally.
