Absolutely amazing display. Put this high on your list if you are in Brisbane or travelling through. Free to visit, great for adults and for kids alike. We also managed to get in when the Jurassic World Lego display was on had to pay an entry fee and it was awesome!! Recommend the ANZAC display- it is fantastic.
This Museum is in a great location and good it’s free apart from exhibits however it’s rather limited in the displays it offers. Probably best for young families. A good way to spend an afternoon though but won’t be back to visit again.
There’s always something good on at the museum, and currently there’s lots of dinosaur-related content which is my favourite type of content. You really can spend a whole day here if you take your time and really enjoy the exhibits. Be careful when you open the toilet door because they’re small and open inwards - you could easily knockout a small child.
We had a fantastic time looking around the Qld Museum. We loved the dinosaurs, the butterfly exhibition and all the animals to look at upstairs.nnMake bookings for exhibitions prior to going though, as they have allocated time slots. Exhibitions were reasonably priced.nnEntry to the normal part of the Museum was free.
This museum was so great! So many very interesting things to see. The majority of the museum consisted of free exhibits including natural history of Australian wildlife, insects from around the world, dinosaurs and fossils with an emphasis on those found in Australia, and a mineral and gems exhibit. There were two exhibits that required an entrance fee, a dinosaur Lego exhibit and another not sure what it was about. First time I've ever seen a giant squid! A great place to spend the weekend, a day, or an hour--however long you have or want to spend.
