A delightful place to pass an afternoon. And very educational too. Not being a museum fan I was reluctantly dragged along by my other half and my nephew, who wanted to see the Gladiators display. Gee was I glad I went along! The display was amazingly excellent and I thoroughly enjoyed it - and I learned a lot. My two lads even had the opportunity to put on some gladiator masks and play at having a battle! I was so take aback and intrigued that I walked around the other floors in the museum and ran out of time after spending 3 hours inside. I most certainly will be back and will allow more time for me next visit. The great thing, too, is the location ... so close to all the pubs and restaurants in South Bank!

when I first stumbled across the Museum of Brisbane several years ago it seemed like a secret gem, a calm and beautiful space in a hot and busy city. Since then it’s profile has improved but it is still my first stop every time I am in town. Excellent exhibitions, friendly staff and an exquisite gift shop, with a lovely cafe in the basement. if the trip to GOMA is too far, don’t miss this!

FREE Entrance. Ride up to the clock tower and enjoy the city scenic. You can also see variety of artist exhibiting their masterpiece from time to time.

It's important to keep in mind that Brisbane is a young city in the scheme of things so it's not going to have that much content to offer. Nonetheless, the displays which are there are quite entertaining (especially if you take an interest in Queensland history).

Mao's Last Dancer Exhibition a portrait of Liu Cunxin is well worth a visit and the museum always has such interesting exhibitions and mostly free. While you are visiting be sure to take a guided tour of the City Hall but be sure to book ahead
