We had a wonderful stay at the Gateway Hotel in Wangaratta. The staff were incredibly professional, welcoming, and attentive from check-in right through to departure. Nothing was too much trouble, and their friendly service really made the experience stand out.nnThe rooms were beautifully styled, modern, spotless, and very comfortable. The common areas throughout the hotel were also thoughtfully designed and created such a relaxing and inviting atmosphere.nnIt’s clear a lot of care goes into both the presentation of the hotel and the guest experience. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Wangaratta.
Loved this place!! Stayed here for a recent work trip for 3 days and everyone person I interacted with there was so friendly, helpful and welcoming. Rooms very spacious and clean. Great amenities and the hotel restaurant really exceeded expectations! They even cleaned my windscreen of my car when I left. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others 11 out of 10!
We stayed in a King Suite which was spacious, comfortable and clean. We were a little concerned about road noise but it was not a problem at all - had a great night's sleep. We enjoyed dinner and breakfast there. The steak at dinner was possibly the best steak I've ever eaten - cooked to perfection. Meals are generous and the staff are lovely. This is a great place to break the Sydney Melbourne drive and we will happily stay here again.
If you are looking to stay or stop by at Wangaratta, look nowhere else. This is the best place! Clean and spacious room, the service top notch! The food also fabulous, good price and high quality! The location also perfect! 100% recommend!
We had an absolutely fantastic experience at the Gateway Hotel Wangaratta.nnWe were in Wangaratta for a four-day bike tour and the team kindly offered to store our bike bags for us while we were out riding. Knowing our gear was safe and secure gave us total peace of mind and made the whole trip so much easier.nnOn the final day, we rode back into town in pouring rain — completely drenched and with nowhere to shower before heading off. Even though they didn’t have to, the staff went above and beyond by giving us fresh towels and helping us sort out our bike bags. That level of care and generosity meant so much after a long, wet ride.nnThe team showed genuine hospitality and kindness in ways that weren’t expected but were deeply appreciated. It’s rare to come across service like this.nnThank you so much for looking after us — we’re incredibly grateful and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again or recommend you to other cyclists passing through Wangaratta!
