We have 20 acres of land situated on the banks of the Ovens river and linked to town via a footbridge.
We offer cabins and powered and non powered sites.

Story

We would like everyone to know about our beautiful park which is just a very short walk from town. Lovely spacious camping sites with large, shady trees, cabins of all sizes, 2 swimming pools, a tennis court, large camp kitchen with 2 open fireplaces, large BBQ pavillion with seating for 35 people.

Loved this beautiful park for our overnight stay, wish we could have stayed longer. Sites were very spacious. Great clean amenities. Grounds were so well kept. Would Definately stay again.

We stayed at Painters Island Caravan Park from Boxing Day through to the New Year and couldn’t fault it. The location is brilliant—central yet wonderfully quiet. The amenities were clean and well maintained, and there was heaps of space for the kids to run around, ride bikes and scoot safely. The beautiful grassed sites made it feel relaxed and spacious, even during the busy holiday period. A fantastic place to stay and one we would happily return to.

We stayed here over the Melbourne Cup Long weekend on an unpowered site. The park has perfectly maintained grassed areas and plenty of rubbish bins around that were constantly being emptied. The amenities were absolutely spotless at all times of the day, commendation to the cleaners for their efforts. The camp kitchen was also very well maintained with its clean working area. The pool looked beautiful, although we didnt use it, there were certainly people enjoying it. Deb & Kirk managers were exceptionally courteous and pleasing to talk to. Highly recommend. We will definitely keep this place as one of our favourites to return to.

It is a lovely caravan park and have no issue with facilities.  Top stuff.  However the camp kitchen shuts at 10.30pm. We don't have a jug in the tent or a tv so being shut out at 10.30pm is a bit ridiculous as we pay $40 a night for a piece of grass - how much do the flash rigs pay with all the power they can use?  We have been travelling for a month now as we sold up and are looking for a new home and are getting tired of paying top dollar and being treated as second class citizens because we have a tent.

We only stayed for one night, but the park was immaculate. So well looked after and maintained, amenities are clean and staff super friendly and accommodating. Location is close to town and river - we'll be back!
