We have 20 acres of land situated on the banks of the Ovens river and linked to town via a footbridge.
We offer cabins and powered and non powered sites.

Story

We would like everyone to know about our beautiful park which is just a very short walk from town. Lovely spacious camping sites with large, shady trees, cabins of all sizes, 2 swimming pools, a tennis court, large camp kitchen with 2 open fireplaces, large BBQ pavillion with seating for 35 people.

Have just spent a wonderful weekend at this beautiful park. Amazing location, close to town but still quiet and relaxing. We arrived after check in time but Jaclyn had us covered with entry & instructions to get us settled which was so appreciated. Wonderful park, great facilities, great managers. Would certainly recommend Painters Island!
Hands down has to be the best park in Wangaratta and Victoria's North East.nSome brand new family cabins are absolutely beautiful.nFabulous amenities, friendly staff and the location is so close to town you can carry your groceries!! What a gemnAlso close proximity to fabulous restaurants and take away food outlets.nIt's all very easy at Painters Island
The staff are extremely friendly and helpful before and during our stay. The facilities are always clean. The large site make the stay very comfortable. The pool was a hit with the kids. Thanks to the office staff for always being willing to help if needed!
We had a family Easter break with two caravan sites and a cabin for my husband and I. The facilities were amazing and kept our young grandchildren entertained for hours. The bbq facilities were excellent and the park was beautifully maintained. We will certainly return again for more adventures. Thank you to management and staff.nPeter and Lea Osmond Echuca
As a local resident for many years, I had never experienced how great this park is until this weekend. Great service, brilliant amenities and sites and walking distance to everything.
