Due to a last min family dash to Melbourne from Sydney after working all day on Friday. We needed a late check-in, hot shower and comfy beds. City Reach delivered and exceeded our expectations. Even though the place seemed fully booked when we arrived at 11pm, the venue was quiet. We had a beautiful hot shower, snuggled into a warm bed, and crashed hardcore. Therefore, we were all ready for a 7am kick off the next morning to continue our adventure. Highly recommended City Reach.
Our room was an older style motel room but was comfortable and reasonably clean. The beds were very comfortable. Annoyingly, some of the other motel guests were loud when they returned late at night which woke us up, this is of course, at no fault of the motel owners.nnThe motel is also close to the main road so you can expect there to be some traffic noise which we experienced.nnThe service was efficient, from the time we arrived to the time we were in our room was about five minutes.nnA good stop over point for a long road trip.
Booked to stay 1 night and though everything in the room was relatively ok I’d say be prepared to be woken up by anyone leaving in the entire complex. We heard the people showing in every room around us, the walls are paper thin.nTake your ear plugs or just be prepared to not sleep once the first person wakes and leaves.
We stayed at this motel for 1 night and that was plenty.nThe car parking is terrible and very tight if you have to park at the back of the complex.nnI don't think the cleaners do a very good job, especially with the utensils, glasses etc. I went to have a wine and ALL 4 wine glasses were dirty as well as a few mugs, there was jam all over the toaster, our complementary milk was 1 day out of expiry.nOne of our bed side lights was broken and missing the protective glass. Not great if you have little children as they could touch the hot globe.nnIf you like a dark room to sleep in, this is not the place as the outside lights, light up your room even with the curtains drawn.nnI definitely do not recommend this motel and I am unsure as to how they have a 4 star rating.
Outdated, a relic from the 70’s.nnDef not 4 star, 2 star at best.nnCarpets hadn’t been vacuumed despite making us wait til mid afternoon to check in. There was food and grass from the previous guests still on the floor. Crumbs on the dining table.nnPics showed different, more modern rooms.nnBooked for 4 people and they provided only two bath towels.nnPool was filled with leaves, I cleaned it myself so our kids could swim in it.nPool hut was filled with cob webs and had an active wasp nest it in.nnComplained about our room to reception staff but they were just filling in for the manager who was on holidays. He was apparently returning on the day we departed. Was assured he would call us…. I’m still waiting.nnAVOID THIS MOTEL AT ALL COSTS.
